On my travels I love to see the natural beauty of palm fringed beaches and colorful coral reefs. I adore it when I can see native wildlife like Kangaroos in Australia and lions in Kenya. I am very fond of seeing interesting and attractive looking architecture. I loved seeing the romantic looking castles in Germany and Sydney's opera house is my favorite. It looks like sails and it just as great as Sydney's harbor bridge. That looks like a coat hanger.
Which places have you found natural beauty in?
Are there any animals you are keen to see in the wild?
Which building in the world would you love a chance to see?

To answer your question "Which places have you found natural beauty in?" I would reply "The Lake District". I love United Kingdom. Have travelled to Australia, Tunisia, Sicily and several parts of England Scotland and Ireland but I must say that the Lake District has left a big impression on me. I would love to visit again. I found the lakes impressive peaceful and picturesque.
I was impressed by Australia's rich vast wild life. But its not for me. I won't do it again besides being costly and a 24 hours plane each is too much for me.

I went to the Lake District with a friend back in my university days. We were very lucky to get sunny and dry weather. I found the scenery very beautiful indeed. I am glad that you have seen lots of natural beauty there.
I know what you mean about the 24 hour plane journey being too much. That is why I advise stop offs for someone flying all that way from Europe to Australasia.

I've seen a lot of natural wonders in the States, but the Grand Canyon is really too big to take in - in many ways it comes across as just a big hole in the ground.
Now, Yellowstone was really interesting, but I was mostly interested in the geo-thermal stuff, and I got to see them too.
Rocky Mountain National Park is pretty, and while they had just opened the Trail Ridge road a week before we got there, and it was very interesting, but the top of the ridge was just that - a kind of flatish tundra. I think the ride back to Ft. Collins was interesting when we were driving along side the river.
However, the best place was Crater Lake. Honestly, pictures only tell half the story - it isn't so big you can't see all of it easily - maybe not GO into it, but standing on the rim you see the whole thing. It can fill your senses, the blue of the water is unbelievable, the air is so clean, at least it was when I was there, in early August. A week after we left, they had an early snow storm and had to close the road to the rim.
I have to say that anytime there is water, especially running or moving water I'm more interested... and don't say that there's a lot of "water in my horoscope," because I've had that done back when I was young and I was almost all fire and air!

Thanks for your fantastic response. I know exactly what you mean about running or moving water being very much more interesting and enjoyable. My breath was taken away at the waterfalls between Argentina and Brazil. Wow! I even manged to capture a rainbow and the falls. Crater Lake sounds amazing to me. I saw plenty of geothermal land in New Zealand and it was very special for me. I liked the sound of the pretty Rocky Mountain National Park.

I have found natural beauty in many places I have travelled to. The most spectacular though would have to be Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe, both in the Sierra Nevada mountains bordering California and Nevada in the USA. The Grand Canyon was also right up there for beauty.
As for wildlife, I see kangaroos all the time here, mostly as road kill though unfortunately. I would love to visit Africa and see the mega fauna over there in it's native habitat.
I think that Europe has the most amazing architecture of anywhere. Some of the castles, abbeys and churches in the UK are amazing and even Westminster Parliament has to be seen to be believed! So much detail in the constructions back then! Much better than the boring Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House! I would love to someday visit other parts of Europe to see famous buildings too such as Italy and France in particular.

Thanks for your wonderful response. I think that Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe must be very beautiful indeed. I hope that you will in the future visit France and Italy. I know what you mean about very detailed and amazing architecture in the ancient castles, old abbeys and old churches in the UK.
