Ronaldo is finally fulfilling some of his destiny for the country. After a fantastic performance against the Dutch, he produced some scintillating football yesterday to fire the Portuguese into the semis. The other standout performer of the day was Petr Cech in the Czech goal and it was thanks to him that the score-line was just a meagre 1-0.
Ronaldo had already hit the post and had a host of near misses before heading home the winner 14 minutes from time for the Portuguese.
Do you think Ronaldo can fire them to the Euro trophy?
Cheers!

I don;t know . You tell me. does Ronaldo have enough to stop Spain? Will a Spain-Portugal be a good final?

You like basketball? Me? I don't see the point. I prefer hockey. So it is like Sidney Crosby vs The L.A. Kings. I get it. I think the team has the better advantage!

So Ronaldo Has to keep playing as he is playing for Portugal to advance, while Spain can rotate tired players for rested ones and steam role over the other teams? Yikes!

CR7 is on fire! I think he could just lead Portugal into the final beating Germany in the semis. Christiano Ronaldo is such a complete player that he could be running the whole field from helping out the defenders and to scoring goals. He has got pace and could shoot with both feet. His heading is excellent too. I look forward to a Portugal vs England final.

Hello ram_cv, a couple of weeks ago, so many people were raising questions about Christiano Ronaldo's performance for his country. Now he has with a suitable reply for this. I am sure that if he play well in the semifinal Portugal can simply reach on the final of Euro 2012 .

Ronaldo has the habit of scoring more goals against weaker teams from the past,in real madrid also he cannot play well against big teams like barcelona as well in champions league too we dont see ronaldo magic must,i guess in euro's also same thing would repeat,he scored 2 gaols against holland(who was the worst team in euro with 0 points) and a goal against czechs who are relatively weaker. He has to perform against spain now in semis to be sure that ronaldo can perform against big teams also!!!

I would not think of Holland as a weak team at all. Of course, they finished last in their league, but that is not because they were a weak team, that was more because of poor finishing. Also, if you saw his performance against Czech it was dazzling and at international level no team is really that weak.
Cheers!

I guess he just got that boost in the Netherlands game. He's now playing amazing, but still not to full potential. The country depends on Ronaldo and Nani.
They have a tough semi-final fixture for sure, but Ronaldo in form can do anything.
