It sounds a little non-sense but I am curious how often a lot of people here change their bath towels.
When I was in the dormitory school, it would reach a month before I could finally realize that it stunk. I never really had skin allergies or diseases because of that. When I got into a serious relationship and lived my partner, she told me to at least change into a new one once a week including the bed sheets especially because we were in a warm tropical country. I started to develop this very hygienic habit. Until now, I don't feel fresh and clean if I knew the towel has been used for more than a week already. I was so surprised to discover that a very good friend of mine changes his everyday. Whoa, hotels would even give us an option if we wanted them changed everyday. I couldn't believe I got a friend who actually does it each day and he is a guy!

I agree with your friend to change our bath towel everyday to prevent it from getting moldy or stinky, but in case if you cant laundry it everyday you can change it each three days as long as you hang your bath towel properly. I too living in a tropical country and I have more than one bath towel, I also change the bed sheets at least once in a week well its a habit but changing bed sheet and the curtain that matching to each other weekly, changing it weekly makes my room looks fresh. Hehehe hygienic habit is not only for female but many male also living clean life, we often get impression that only female living a clean life but I do know some guys who do clean everyday.

My boyfriend is like that. He gets a fresh towel every time he showers. He claims that if you leave the towel hanging up on a rack once you use it, it gets moldy from being wet. I don't know where he heard this and so I'm not sure how true it is, but that's what he does. I usually go about a week before washing it or pulling out a fresh one. I also try to wash my bedsheets at least once as well. I live in a hot, humid climate and my bed feels so much better when I wash it regularly.

Ohhhh God change the towel everyday really non-sense washing in 3 to 4 days is good but change is not good. I think your friend is rich person. Bad sheet should change weekly and wash old. Because badsheet dirt should clean.

I was raised to use 2 towels. One for the face and upper body, one for the rest. After you used it (your bath) I had to put it in the dirty laundry basket. So we had clean towels every day. Same with the towels in the kitchen and toilet.
I raised my kids nearly the same way. We don't use 2 towel a person but 1. I teached them to do the face first the rest later, after that they have to put the towel into the washing machine. If we wash our hair we use an other towel.
So we do use a clean towel each time as well. If we shower two times a day we use clean towels each time. Bed sheets I clean once a week too or more frequently if necessary. It has nothing to do with where you live but with the fact that toxic, sweat etc from the body goes straight into the sheets (not to forget to mention what more can be in the sheets).

I think it is too much. I normally change my bath towel once in a week nowadays. I am living with my fiancee and we do it regularly, but when I lived alone I used to change it each 3 weeks.
Sometime ago I saw a report in a brazilian magazine about it. They explained that we need to change the bath towel at least once in a week, because of the microorganisms that starts to grow in it. But I still think that everyday is too much, because you will start to spend a lot of detergent to clean all the towels that you use in a week. Happy mylotting.

I used to change my bath towel every three days. But it mainly depends upon my activity and all. If there is work for higher time, I used to under go more than one time for bathing. Once those days, I change my bath towel every day.
I think that, there might not be much problem if we are washing it daily.

I know a lot of people that use theirs over and over but to me it is really gross. They start to smell like mildew. I wash our towels after every use so we go through 3 towels a day. It was a lot more when my husband was alive and lived here because he took 2 or more showers a day and used 2 towels each time he showered.

I change mine everyday as well. Now I used to change it maybe once every three days, but now it's every day. It's not hard to just wash up a load of towels and we have plenty for all of us to last us a week before we need to wash them.

I use the same towel every time. We have a closet full, but only one that wraps all the way around my body, so its the only one I use. They get washed once a week though. So, I guess I use mine a week before getting a clean one.

I think changing bath towel once a month is okay. You don't have to change it everyday..
I just change it when I think it is quite dirty already.
