I use a mouse mat that has a picture of dolphin on it. It is very relaxing when i try to think of something sensible to write.
Do you still use a mouse mat or are you a laptop person?
Perhaps you use asparagus bound together by vine?
What is your mouse mat like?
My grandmother got mouse mat with a picture of a flower on it and she uses it to put her teapot on it because she does not have a computer....stupid present but then uncle Quantro is not the brightest candle in the box. the house is occupied but the lights are out if you know what i mean!

Hello ajk111
As I have the computer that theoretically sits on the lap (but in fact sits atop the desk) I have no need for the mouse mat for most work. However, if I am playing the games on the computer, I have a mouse that I use (it is electronic, not the real) but I do not have the mouse mat. In fact, the top of my desk is not unlike the top of a billiard table, and it is great for the mouse.
Here is a little riddle: What do you call a grey creature with big ears and a trunk?

I have a laptop, but still use a mouse with it. I hate that little touch thingy on a laptop, I can't drive it.
My mouse pad has skulls on it. Pink, orange, bule and yellow skulls.

I find my self very comfortable using the laptop pad, more than using the commmon mouse. Of course, I´m not use it for play, lol.

Our computer table is too cluttered to place a mouse mat on - ha ha!! I just use the table top - no dolphins, asparagus, or flowers. Good or bad - that's the way we've been using the mouse for years now! Hmmmm, your grandmother actually sounds resourceful . . . maybe she finds it relaxing to use when she's pouring her tea!

LOL! I never really paid much attention, but when you said that your grandmother uses her mouse pad as a holder for her teapot, I glanced at my mouse pad and then at the coaster next to it for my drink, and they are basically the same thing except that the mouse pad is a much larger version of the coaster (and the coaster has a different picture on it than the mouse pad does)!

No, I have a laptop for the last 2 years, but when I do attach a mouse, its an optical mouse, that doesn't require a mat. None of my friends use mouse mats either

No, I don't use a mouse pad with my laptop. I just use my mouse anywhere. Usually I sit on the couch with the mouse beside me. The couch is my mouse pad, lol.
I too hate the pads on the computer. I like to play a lot of games and using that thing on the computer makes it almost impossible to get a decent score on any game.

Depends on the surface the
mouse is on. With an optical
mouse, you need to worry
about the reflection. I was
using a metal desk and the
optical mouse would not work
at all. I had to use a mouse pad.
Actually I didn't have a mouse
pad on me so I used
construction paper since it
provided me with a matte
surface. And if the surface is
rough, the optical mouse won't
work. I have used text books
for that!

I have had one of the Gel type ones for yrs. now, and this is the main one I use. When I am on my laptop I should use one for my mouse, but most of the time don't and don't need one when using my phone. I still cannot believe the price they are wanting if you need to replace one.

i have a laptop and i use mouse but without a mat.. :D
i really like our mouse because it is built or designed for mat/padless purposes. It can work in all kinds of surfaces that makes it so great. Wireless and padless, the best combination of feature of pc mouse.
