Too Many Critters

People who know me IRL know there is one thing they are very unlikely to hear me say and that is, "I have too many pets!" Usually its more along the lines of "I want a kitten!" or "I wish I had another rat."
Right now I have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 rats, a betta fish and a 30 gallon aquarium with a couple of goldfish, a few minnows and some bottom dwellers.
Yesterday one dog went to the vet for a checkup. The second one is at the vet today. Today I have also cleaned the filter on my 30 gallon aquarium, refilled the bettas tank, and both of the dogs got baths.
I feel like I've spent all day taking care of the pets in my life. For once I wish I had a few fewer critters to take care of.
How many pets do you have? How many do you think would be TOO many?

What kind of parrots do you have?
I would LOVE chickens, but its not "legal" to keep them where I live. (I don't agree with the legality of chickens)
Right now I still have the 2 dogs and the cat, a betta and my aquarium. No more rats right now. With the addition of a second child I had TOO many things to take care of.

Having too many pets is like having too many friends - impossible so long as you can tend to them properly. We have three indoors cats and care for many feral and stray cats outside and although it can be costly it just plain feels good to know we are providing support and comfort to them.
