My son was taught by his nanny to pee on the toilet or on the potty trainer. Her nanny did this during her first two weeks of stay with us. It was such a great improvement or development for our son. However, now, even he is wearing diaper, he will never pee on it and will really require us to be with him when he pee. I am happy for this because it will really save us from using diapers (even we are using cloth diapers). Thanks for her nanny for her patience in teaching our son how to pee.

She is really great. She even teaches our son to read the alphabet and counting. Also, she started to teach him how to write so we already bought him pencils and papers. Having nanny like her is very difficult these days.

Hatley, you are right. This will really make easier for us. He has already pants but he used to wear it with diapers. Next time we went out, we will try not wearing him diaper because he can already tell us when he wants to pee.
Ikbooi, you are right, parents are really patient in potty training.

It is great that you son's nanny taught him to only pee on the toilet or the potty. It saves you lots of money and effort cleaning the cloth diapers. I am very happy for you. At the moment I am trying to teach her how to stop using diapers and use a potty. She has one large potty left at home and one small potty I take her to her child minder. This morning she used the potty well for her pees. Then we went out and she did the pee in her pull up sort of diaper. Now we are home again she will pee in her potty. She will soon be 3 years old and her birthday is next week. Well done to your son and his nanny.

Thanks. the only problem with my son is that when we are outside our home like yesterday at the grocery, even he was wearing diaper, he does not want to pee on it, I looked for the nearest comfort room to let him pee.

You are right it will really save lots of money when you stopped using diaper. Although our son started using cloth diaper when he was already 1 1/2 y.o. which really saves us further in using diaper.

Your nanny is very good and your son is very intelligent because he adopt the toilet training easily. I am happy that you found a good nanny for your son and she can teach your son on proper training based on his age. My nephew dont use diaper too he is three years old, he just pee on the toilet before go to bed and every early in the morning. My sister also put the potty trainer need to the bed so that if ever he wake up and wants to pee he can easily access it.

Thanks Bhebelen for the compliments on my son and her nanny. Our son used to pee before going to bed but still wears cloth diaper during night and when he will be going to sleep at daytime. Perhaps we will try not to wear diaper during daytime sleep first before trying to evening sleep.

shows that your son has adopted the good habit to pee on the toilet or his baby potty Your mom has done a great job to well train his beloved grandson not to pee on the diaper. Yeah, our dear parent is always the right and best person to train the little cutie as she is an amiable and patient to cultivate the young persistently with full of parental love. Young kid doesn't follow one who forces it to do this and that. Certainly it's more convenient to flush the toilet bowl and rinse the potty than washing the cloth diaper. We would save a lot as well from buying disposable paper diaper.
Happy posting

her nanny teaches him in doing this in his potty trainer and not my mom or my wife's either. just let them learn and don't force them to do something they don't want. Just keep on training them in a nice manner.

My youngest son was this way too, he stopped wearing diapers at 1 year old.. i am sooo happy at this because he really learned to say "weee weeee" early and that means he wants to pee! lol.. till now he does not wear any diapers and he is 2 years old now. Plus he stopped drinking milk at his milk bottle and drinks milk before and after sleeping.

Good for your son to have really have that development. I think, not wearing kids or toddlers with diaper makes them learn how to pee. We are trying to stop him from drinking milk in feeding bottle. I hope our nanny can teach him already.

I also thought you'd be seeing this as a problem. I think that's a great development. And I guess there'd be times that you'd still wish he'd pee on it for the sake of convenience but the bottom line is, he is now potty trained. You have an awesome nanny. Congratulations.

Thanks haopee. sometimes this will really cause a problem. When we are outside or at the mall, he doesn't want to pee on his diaper so we have to look for the nearest confort room. But I still see this as a positive one.

My friend's baby is also like that, but instead of being happy because of the savings, she find hard time to wake up in the middle of the night just to accompany her baby to the comfort room just to pee..in effect she is always lack of sleep, and she is really affected because she is a working mom.

We haven't done it to our son. We still have him wear cloth diapers at night. Perhaps, your friend needs to have potty trainer in their room so that they will not go into the comfort room everytime her kid wants to pee.

Sometimes, patient is really need to train kids in this situation. ur nanny is just patient to our son. On the other hand our son is also easy learner. When you told him something even once, he will really remember it.
