I have been taking painting classes since last October, as a hobby and a class for my kids who I homeschool. Up until just recently I was mostly painting on glass, and such to learn and styrofoam plates are awesome to practice on as well. Anyway I painted this in honor of Fathers Day. What do you think? I am looking for some thoughts. Painting and all art is different for everyone, so I am curious what others think.

a lovely painting, miss liss! i am sure that your father would cherish this gift! the psychoartist also loves painting, and you are right, painting and art are subjective...i love many different styles, but like to paint in an abstract or impressionistic style, which fans of realism in art do not appreciate at all...keep up the good work, and above all, enjoy your art!

Thank you, and I am still learning all the strokes, and styles of the various kinds of painting. It truly is an art. I do find the more I practice the better I get. I find the most difficult thing for me is proportions. You will see this when I share some of my other pieces.

That would be great! Hopefully I'll catch them all. Have you considered trying to sell your paintings? Maybe find a nice cheap frame to put them in and then sell for a profit?

I liked your painting a lot friend, it is the best thing you could gift your father and he would love it! After all, his daughter has made that exclusively for him and I am sure he would be extra proud of you after seeing this.

I didn't actually make this for my dad, he was not a good dad. I guess my inspiration was for all the good dads in the world. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your art, missliss08. I must admit that I envy the artistic talents, as I have none. I enjoy seeing art that depicts happy parents with their happy children. This painting evokes that. Peace. I love the world!

Thanks Page! I truly believe we are all artists even if we don't know it yet. You just have to discover yours.

I can see a father who is very happy and proud of his daughter. And a lucky daughter cheered up by his father.
