LOL. It wasn't me. There's this manager, a "senior" (yeah, right), who seems to be extremely BUSY ALL THE TIME. Others are busy as well, but this one whenever someone asks him about something related to work mostly about his department, from 1-10, 9 times he would say, "I'm busy with THIS and THAT and have no time for you". Even worst he would just ignore you and do his work as if you are talking to the wall. Have you ever worked or known someone like this? Don't you just wanna hit this person hard on the face?!!

hi CorryCrystal not that busy though I have known people like that. I can understand not wanting to be stopped in the midst of some project but otherwise I had time to always help others. I hate talking to someone who ignores me as that is very rude for sure.Yes you do feel like you want to shake the person until his or her teeth rattle. lol lol

Hi, Hatley. Hahahaaa yes, yes!! We feel like shaking him or just hit and kick his a$$ to make him answer. How many times we receive complaints about his rudeness not only within his department, but other departments, too. Just this morning a colleague answered a call, which was supposed to be directed to them, but she didn't transfer the line to him knowing that he would just ignore the call. So, she was actually helping him, but when she conveyed what the request was from the other line that needed him to answer whether can or not, he quickly replied that he was busy, and left. Gosh, we were so annoyed with his attitude.

Had I come across someone like this, I would surely hit them as hard as possible. Dude, get some life is what I would say after hitting hard. I would never be like that even in my wildest and the worst dreams.

Spot on. That's what we always say and sometimes tell him straight to the face to get a life! I know when it's really busy even his staff are busier than him, but they always have time to give answers even when it's during peak hours. They don't just leave us with nothing, but him, there are situations where you can see him having a casual conversation with another colleague and then sitting down in front of the computer doing something and when another colleague from other department receives a request or call from the customers asking about something, he suddenly becomes so busy again, rushing here and there saying, "I'm busy now bla bla bla", rush to the door or just ignore the person who asks. Glad to know that you are not one of these people.

There are quite a number of people around us who are busy at all times. No one could estimate why they are so much busily engaged in any kind of vocation. Such hectic pace of activities are often not justified. As haste makes waste they are soon headed for troubles galore.

Hi, Sukumar. Yeah, true no one could estimate what makes them feel they are super busy at all times. If these people are really busy, it's not an issue, but this person is so self-centered, you know and knowing him for his mood swings, it's quite irritating and stressful. I just don't care if he does what he wants to do, and I wish I didn't have to deal with him. Let him with his "business", but there are days when I'm sure he'll rush us from other department and we won't do it for him, he will always explode with anger. I think other people start to ignore him and not being cooperative because of his hostility that makes others lost their respect for him.

I know someone will keep answering you that they are busy. Just like what happens to you.. Lol.. I think it is their nature. I mean, they just want to show people that they are that important. lol

Well,I think the manager you metioned before acted like that on the base of his character. He is kind of someone who doesn't like social activities or too tired to care for other people's bussiness. As a leader of a bunch of people,I seriously doubt that he is equal to his job.

I know right, he's not a leader, no, even other colleagues notice that. Even his staff talk behind his back and they prefer to refer to other superiors than him. When everyone is excited about something, he pretends not to be interested with his sour face doing something on the computer, but other times he can be over reacting about something and his mood suddenly change where he plays nice with everybody. So, when everybody thought, 'oh okay, he's in a good mood', then, in just a few minutes he acts like you don't exist and when you ask him nicely, he can either answer you he's busy where in fact he's been doing the same thing when he's chatting with you earlier on or ignore you. He's a robot, I think.

what I think this is no way to deal with juniors rather he should distribute and share some of the responsibilities with them. That way they would be happy and would be asset for him. I know when the seniors share their burden with juniors they both remain happy.

Hi, Suni. I agree with you. Up to now, this person never trusted his staff and wouldn't want to delegate the job tasks amongst his juniors. So, it is sad to see one by one the potential staff in his department leaving the company because of his behaviour.
