Have you tried shopping for stuff like clothes and footwear online and the online retailer kept sending the wrong size despite repeated clarifications made before the delivery? There's a new online fashion retailer that was launched in our city recently and while the layout's really cool and the footwear collection looks riveting and stylish, the company has sent me disappointingly small sizes fit for kids. First they sent me toddler-sized shoes even if the pair I ordered was classified in the women's section, then, after a multitude of email correspondences, the replacement pair they delivered to my home was a teen's size, even if I specifically clarified that they check that the new order is actually a woman's size (which was confirmed before delivery). I've tried another leading online e-commerce site before and it never sent me the wrong shoe size. The case with the newly launched online fashion retailer has become really exasperating. Anyone here who has had bad experiences also with online stores?

I don't usually buy clothes or shoes in online stores. I buy just books in online stores. One reason I am wary of buying clothes or shoes online is because I fear they won't fit me nicely. Another problem is if it does not fit, then I will have another problem of exchanging it for another or worst, refunding it. It will be such a hassle on my part. I prefer going to an actual store and fitting clothes or shoes in person.

I remember when I used to order clothes from online auction websites, and I had to stop because it happened too often that things would arrive and then not look like they did on the website which would mean that I wouldn't like them, but then couldn't send them back. So now I will only ever order from places that accept returns, because this is the only way that I feel as though I'm able to protect myself incase I change my mind. But most of the time I love the fact that I can choose clothes on my computer screen and then have them delivered to me just a couple of days later.

It's a nice feeling to get to choose from a wide selection of clothes online. I guess we also learn which online retailers send out really good stuff, and which ones carry inferior items. We should remember not to deal again with those who offer bad merchandise.

Hi. I once ordered a small gift specially designed online for my hubby before his birthday last year. I was anxious for the thing to arrive as it also came with a gift tag, so, I had actually written a beautiful message to him. However, the order, which was supposed to be a surprise failed to arrive at my doorstep. So, I had no choice then to let hubby knew about it and I contacted the online store for explanation. They said the item has been shipped and asked me to verify my address. All were correct, so, they gave me an option that I could re-order without any charge. I did, but few weeks of waiting I still didn't receive anything. So, I checked with them again and the only last option was to report it as lost in shipment. Even though they have fully refunded me my money, but I was sad because I personally wrote that message and picked the design.

That is the saddest thing -- ordering a gift that never arrives. There are so many unique and adorable looking gift ideas online, and some retailers offer fast shipping, but there are unexpected problems -- like items being lost through shipment -- that may arise. That is one of the downsides, I guess, of online shopping.

I don’t used to but things on internet. I feel it is quite risky and I doubt that I get those materials or the products that I need. Getting the things on online has certain limitation. IE, we cannot get those things which we look for. Most of the people does shopping to get good quality products and in online shopping a customer cannot verify it is a good product or not. So I mostly used to shop the things from the shops so that I can replace those ones I do not get satisfied with my mind.

I think shopping from brick and mortar stores is still the favorable option to online shopping. However, most retail stores charge higher prices. What I do is just shop online if I really really want an item, and only if it won't cost me much.

Sorry to hear about your disappointments. Hope you will solved your issues.
We must be very careful while doing online shopping. Especially we must give more attention while buying clothes, foot wares and other things which is having size issues. Till today i don't buy this kind of goods from online. Simply i am buying the kids toys, diapers, books from online shop. Some times i will buy some electronic gadgets from some trusted site.
One of my friend ordered a pair of T-shirts for him. He selected his favorite shirt and prescribed the size through email. But he is very much disappointed while receiving it. As the T-shirt is too short for him. He sent a lot of mails and made a lot of calls to the shop about this issue. Both all the times the CC operators giving some replies to him, but they are not interested in solving his issue and till today he is having the problem. After this incident he gave up online purchasing.
We must give some extra attention while buying this kind of important stuff via online. We must give our size properly and select the correct product to avoid this kind of issues. Better to shop this kind of important stuff via direct shops to avoid problems.

Indeed, there are online retailers who practice good customer service, and others who don't. Even if customers give the correct sizes and it's the retailer that makes the mistake, something must be done (refund or discount coupons sent to the dissatisfied customer) to compensate.

Yes, online shopping has occasionally given me wrong sizes, maybye once every few. But funny thing is, that when I got an undersized shirt, it made me look HAWT. People started looking at me, admiring mah secinezz :) Anyways, they never made mistakes as bad as toddler sized shoes... You should go to the store, demanding compensation. If they have no stores in town, file a lawsuit. You have a right to do that you know. Anyways, good luck.

I was given compensation in the form of credits to purchase an additional item. A customer definitely has to know his or her rights and privileges, especially when shopping online and getting inferior products or products that do not meet specifications.

Yes I tried to shopped like clothes and footwear online and I have one bad experienced also with online stores. I ordered some dressed and I specified the colors and size but when I received it the size doesnt fit and the colors are not looked lke the same they posted online. The bad thing is even though I kept on texting and sending email to them I never get any response from them. Luckily one of my cousin liked it and purchased it to me but she asked for a discount then I gave it to her in lower price than to lose my money at all. After that incident I never ordered to that online store and I looked for other store which is more reliable and responsible.

I had such experiences in which the online fashion store kept sending the wrong sizes of shoes I ordered, but when I complained in writing, they gave me discount vouchers and I was able to choose an extra merchandise apart from my actual order. The voucher was to compensate for the inconvenience that the retailer caused me.

It happened to me twice long time ago. I'm an avid angler, and i bought a few lures from an online tackle shop. What happen was, when the item arrived, i received a different colour and shape compared to the ones i ordered. Lucky for me they agreed to replace it, all i need to do is return the previous item to them. They even compensate me for the cost of returning the item to them. Another time, was i bought a T-shirt of a band that i liked online. It turned out to be a scam as i made payment but the item never arrive.
But i won't say i will stop buying things online though, in total i've shopped online 26 times, and only 2 turn out to be disappointing. I will still buy some stuff, just that, from that experience, i've became vigilant and making sure that i shop from a legit site.
