In 'real life' we rarely know what others earn and, often, it is thought impolite to ask. Very often, it is just not relevant information, especially on a site like MyLot, where earnings depend very much on how much time an individual can spend, how he/she uses that time and whether or not they use the site wisely and well in the way that the site is intended to be used.
It would be of absolutely no relevance at all to you to say that I earned $1 a day from MyLot (or any other site) - I don't, by the way - because your situation and outlook is, very likely, entirely different from mine.
If you want a useful yardstick to measure yourself by, look at the profiles of several long-standing members. Look at what they write and how they write it. Look at how often they comment back in their own discussions (making them into true discussions). Judge for yourself whether or not their participation is 'good quality' and try to emulate the best that you find.

in real life no one would like to tell others how much they earn and how much property they have and that is applicable in online as well no one would be interested in showing their earning to others.
it is not good to ask payment or earning to others and it would be consider as rude and impolite.
yes, on Mylot earning is depend on individual efforts, time, quality, and content they contribute that is why if two person use Mylot for an hour there earning would be different and they would think Mylot is partial that is why Mylot and other sites has made good decision of not showing users earning.
yes, we need to focus on our qualities and that is why we should look qualities in other which can make us better persona and should observe those things which make them better than us and we should try to learn those things and improve ourselves.

I think it is good that one cannot see how much one has earned. However, there are some sites where you get to see everybody's earning and I would much prefer not to.I guess we need to have the freedom of keeping it to ourselves...all the best and happy mylotting

yes, I agree that is good we are not able to see others earning and no one can see our earning. if there is such a site where we can see others earning then I think it is ok because we are also see others earning and that is fine.

i think this is because earnings are private to the person or to the user. we do not go about in our employment for everyone to see how much we are getting as compensation right? i think it is best that we only know of other member's participation and not down to their earnings. i would not want that to be broad casted along side my name in the site if you ask me.. he he

I agree, earning is really private thing and we should not be interested in others earning they are earning because of their efforts, hard work and activities and if any site would show the earning people would themselves with each other and admin need to make them understand the difference and there reasons.

On Mylot they do afford us privacy. Why would I want that to change? Respecting people's privacy is a law. I would say I am curious about others earning but I wouldn't want everyone else to know mine so that is fine. I think people should have their privacy and I respect that.

yes, we should not stir in their private matter and earning is private matter and if we do not want to show our earning to other then why should we take interest in others earning.
being curious is normal and that is why we want to know others earning but I think that is nothing going to change because we earn here by quality and activities.

Revealing the amount earned by others can motivate people to participate more and thus to earn more. But here on mylot,it prefers users privacy and if they want, they would reveal their exactly earned money. On the other hand,to see other people's progress and to be motivated, mylot has given us the rating system in the stars and the number of responses made.So larger the number of responses and more the star ratings, then that user is a good earner here.Seeing them will keep me motivated.Happy mylotting.

others earning can motivates us but it has few drawbacks as well. yes, Mylot we have privacy policy that is why we have option of not showing few elements on our profile.
you, have pointed out nice thing that is rating and star, I agree, star and rating ,motivates us and we take more efforts and think to gain more star rating and when we see the difference in our star rating and ranking we get a boost up which increases our enthusiasm and interest. others ranking and star rating also motivates us and we push our self to gain good star and reputation.

No legit site would violate your privacy.Mylot is a legit site and as such it does not disclose how much a particular member earns here. You don't and can't know how much I have earned here till now nor can I know your earnings. Our earnings are our private matters and they should not be divulged to others.Even in offline business,it is difficult to know how much a particular businessman earns.

in real life no one tell or would like to tell others how much they earn and how much property they have.

yes, earning is confidential matter and no one reveal to no matter site is legit or not, if there is any site which is showing your earning to others and you can see others earning then that site can a scam.

Why should online be any different from offline?
When you work offline the amount of your wage packet is not shown on a notice board so that your colleagues can see it, is it?
So why should your earnings online be available to others?
Earnings are private, between you, the person paying you and, if necessary, the taxman too. If you wish to share your earnings with others, which many of us choose to do, then that is fine but it should not be made compulsory.
Knowing what others earn could lead to many negative sentiments such as jealousy and greed too Many don't stop and think that maybe that person has more experience, more time available and even a faster connection than they have and is therefore able to earn more.

Indeed and yours are perfect examples of how different the earnings are here, depending on how we spend our time and what we do- I share my earnings in my profile but I also add a screenshot of the activities that caused those earnings too (just in case someone thinks that they are all from referrals or whatever else )

I agree that it might inspire some to be more active and that is why I choose to share my myLot earnings in the hope that others will see that it is not difficult to reach payout every month here.
Now that I think about it, I have not updated with my most recent payout. Too many things going on!

online or offline do not matter, fact is - no one is interested in showing or telling their earning to others.
we should ask men their earning and women their age.
I agree, it should not be compulsory and we should have option of show or do not show my earning to others.
yes, people may feel jealous of others earning and they would do some mischievous things to affect others earning like marking negative etc.
but it can encourage others to work hard and earn more.

hi GajaGamini y es there is a good r eason as those who make less
would a lo t of them be all over us who earn more. it wou ld cause
wide spread envy and irritation , and even anger.People are human beings and humans are not perfect and they can envy others, and be jealous and what for, just because someone had more time and thus just earned more. so no its kept a secret and if you want to know how much I made and I want to tell you find and good, otherwise its our secrets.

we are human being and we have emotions like jealousy etc and that is why if we compare ourselves with others we may envy them and we can get motivated because of others earning.
Mylotter use Mylot as they get time and in their schedule and if anyone can use more than them there would be difference in the earning, that is why we may feel envy.
I think it would increase our morale and enthusiasm because we have star and ranking system here and I think we get boost up when we see other star rating and ranking.

Mylot may consider the earning of each member in here is strictly personal matter, no one is allowed to see except the account holder. If we can't get to see others earning, we can still guess the balance others have, it makes Mylotting a lot more fun.

May be treating the earning of others as classified information away from your and my prying eyes will encourage us to stay longer and spend more time in here. When you get to see so little others can manage to earn in Mylot is not actually a good thing for the website's owner traffic, i think that might be the main reason.

yes, earning is really a personal thing not only on Mylot but on other sites and offline as well, no one like to tell others their earning and no would feel good to ask.
how can we guess others earning, I think we cannot because we can see the quantity but Mylot admins see the quality, we can see the quality but we cannot guess our own earning then why we can guess others.

I think because every member's earning is confidential. :)
It is like we are working in one company and we are not allowed to know others' earning. The company will keep it as confidential data. However, it depends on the person. If he wants to tell other his earning, then he is the one to tell, not the company.
I think Mylot applies the same idea.

yes it is highly confidential and no one would like to tell his or her earning to others.
in real life as well company do not tell employees earning to any one because it is private thing and employee wont like it.
if anyone wants to know or tell others then they can do it one on one and ask ask personally.

I do not want to show others earning, one of my friend asked me how much do you have earned that time i told him how much I have earned because he could not see my earning.
it must have benefits and drawbacks because every thing has something and positive and negative.

That information is personal for a lot of people. I don't care sharing how much I've made in a week if someone asks but others would rather not tell you how much they are making. It's their decision whether or not to share and I think it's good that MyLot don't just give away this sort of info.

yes, earning is personal information and it is up-to you weather we want to share it with others or not.
yes, I too, not interested in showing or telling my earning to others but if Mylot shows it to others I do not mind because I am also getting chance to see others earning. (blink)
