Well, what's causing your lack of interest? What really holds your attention these days? I think the era of the internet and text messaging is giving us all ADD. If that's what the problem is, spend more time away from your computer! Go to your college library and find some books on what you should be learning to study. Take breaks to exercise and have healthy snacks to keep your mind awake and alert.
I find it helps me to study in unconventional ways. Let's say I'm learning about a certain era of history, I look for novels set in that era or films, and I compare the information in them to what I'm learning. It also helps me to talk about my studies with family, friends, and classmates.

I can understand!!But remember that there is always someone lazier than you (me).So don't feel depressed...I am 2nd year now and I can't take it anymore. The only reason I am doing this, is that,If i quit studying, I will have to do some job.She said she will only support me till my 'education' gets over. The only thing I hate more than study is to do a job.So I say to myself,to remain motivated because,if i quit now??
All the hard work we put into our studies, will got to waste and what about all the cash spent on us?

Too lazy to go to the library?!?!? (There needs to be a jaw-dropping smiley!) Well then there's your problem right there, get unlazy! lol Well I think the best way to learn is to hit the books and learn to comprehend them well, and there's always a way to apply what you're learning outside of class. Say you're learning art history, go to an art museum and look at everything trying to identify periods, styles, and trying to analyze. Say you're learning mechanics, build something!
It's better to take your education as seriously as you can, and I know how it is in the classroom... it can get pretty dull! Some subject just aren't interesting, but one of the best things you can do is to keep your mind open to developing a thirst for knowledge.

Hi friend, sad to hear this. Do you like your course? Are you take this course for any one's forcing activity? if you really interested with your course, you will learn it with your full focus and never lose your concentration. What ever it is, start to love your course and give your attention to it. You will get the interest. All the best

It is normal to start to feel like this in your exams, because you will have worked so hard for so long that you won't want to spend any more time thinking about the subjects that you've been studying for so long. However, you have to remember that passing these exams is going to help you a lot in the future, and if you pass the first time then you are never going to have to worry about them again. It is just a little longer, and then you will be able to concentrate on the rest of your life without thinking about just doing continuous exams over and over again.

I totally know how you feel, I am now approaching my 3rd year of college and am taking accelerated summer classes right now. These classes are just totally crammed in and are pretty overwhelming but I can't give up or else I will end up wasting a bunch of money. I'm taking two classes that are 16 week classes crammed into an 8 week semester. I'm taking mythology which I really enjoy and then music history which is really frustrating me.
I don't really enjoy having to do these stupid discussion board assignments or other stupid reading logs. I don't see why I can just do the readings and then take the quizzes. I wanted to drop music history but it was too late so I'm just trying to get through it and get it done.
After this summer I have one more semester but there are two classes that I really want to take this fall. I'll be happy to take viticulture and intro to sustainability so that's definitely something for me to look forward to.

yes thank you that's what i was saying, you are going in 3rd year and you too have started to feel like that so just imagine what you feel after 2 more years , i guess like me only.
yes one of your course is interesting i.e. mythology , even i enjoyed some courses in last sem, 'philosophy of religion' and 'moral and political philosophy'
you can relate them with your own life.
best of luck for the next semester.
cheers and thank you,

Hello :)
I think you are tired with studying. Same thing happened to me what I finished my undergraduate studies, I just wanted to get a job. So I took a year off trying to find a job but I also applied for some masters programmes. At the end, I accepted an MSc offer and left to study abroad. When I changed environment and started again it was very different, I was committed to study and get the best out of my studies.
I think that either you need a change of environment or you have lost your motivation. In the first case, you should take long summer vacations and forget your studies for a while. If you have lost your motivation, why don't you try to plan what you're going to do next year? For example start looking for a job after you graduate! I think that setting a long term goal might help you focus on finishing your studies in order to move on to your career.
I hope it helps :)

You need to get a passion. What do you enjoy doing? Skateboarding? Drawing? Many people find interest in things that express creativity, such as music, sports that show off skill, etc. Passion is the only solution to this. Video games, making movies.
