Old Fantasy Classics

I'm a big fantasy fan and I read mostly modern literature but recently I've been hoping to expand my knowledge of fantasy back into its ancient roots and I'm looking for some old classic fantasies. I was thinking very early or before 20th Century is what I'm really looking for. Stuff like Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, Beowulf, and the Odyssey, except I've read all of those!
Anybody read old fantasy classics? What are some of your favorites and can you tell me why?

I've read the Wizard of Oz and I knew there were more but I hadn't read any of them yet. My dad printed a bunch of copies of them out for me once upon a time, but they weren't bound-books so I didn't read them. I know they're in public domain and I could probably get them for free at Project Guttenburg or something, but I just want a real book to hold. Maybe I could find some print copies.

What do you know... it must not be out of print like I was thinking. I don't know where I got that idea... lol. New and old copies aplenty on Amazon and Barnes and Noble websites, but I'm going to check the used bookstore. And the library. I just realized I haven't looked there before..

I have most certainly read Chronicles of Narnia! lol I grew up living and breathing Chronicles of Narnia. I keep a leather-bound silver-illuminated collector's copy with golden-edged pages next to my bed! It's very much a fantasy, one of my absolute favorites.
