Well my fish stories are i rear 2 types of fish which the chinese consider brings luck and ornamantel. It is the flowerhorn and arowana. I have 2 flowerhorn at home, both are colourful. It was bough about 1 year ago at a price of more than 200 dollar. The chinese believes that flowerhorn physical stature ward of evil and the hump on its head resemble the chinese god of longevity.
I also rear 3 arowanas at home namely the silver arowana as i can't afford the more expansive types such as red and yellow tail arowana. I rear 3 of em as the chinese believes that 3 is considered a lucky number. To rear these kind of fish needs dedication and extra care as they are not like any normal fish reared at home such as the gold fish or sucker fish. They are expansive and even their food are not the normal fish food that we buy from the shop. Preferably, their food consist of live small fish, prawns, frogs or cricket.

Hello Lmfisher666
It sounds like you have some pretty cool fish. That's too bad about your son sharing the pop with them, though. We we were small, my brother shared red Kool Aid with our angelfish and it killed them as well.
I have had a variety of fish over the years, all freshwater fish. I would like to try some salt water fish and hope to incorporate a big tank into my design one day. Currently, I am fish free.

How did you grow your angel fish as huge as that? I have 2 left and they are tiny. I had it for a year and still growing so slow. What did you feed to make it grow that fast? I would like to see my angel fish grow as seen in angel fish competition. Any tips?

Hello, after three months at last i already perfected managing my aquarium. It is really very lively to watch them specially if the design is good and there are green plants out there. Pretty cool to notice that the fish behavior are like human, considered as stranger at first but lately i can see them playing even its not their kind, i love them much.

I remember when I was a kid we had this 50 gallon fish tank full of fish. All kinds. One time the shark fish ate almost all the other fish. I also remember watching my brother and dad carry that 50 gallon thing for blocks, when we moved. I think they dropped it and had to replace some of the glass one time. I remember a time also that it was leaking bad, and my dad and sister had to patch it with some kind of calking or glue. Good times. I always wondered what it would be like to have a 50 gallon fish tank full of an ant farm.
