though playing offensively since kick off, italy didn't made many effective chances since england playing with counter-attack plus lick and rush strategy. Cassano and ballotelli made great chances in the second half, nocerino almost made a real goal if glenjohnson failed to block his strike,england made chances mostly from free kicks. Then match goea to extra time, till the end of time they are still draw. it's the time for penalty kick, ballotelli has succesfully made goal to his team mate in club in the first kick. when montellivo failed to strike in to the goal, england got high, but italy has a momentum when pirlo made a great tricky shot in the third chance, then this affect young's shot, he failed, ball hit the post and ashley cole clearly didn't even seriously shot the ball, buffon take it easily, double ashley failed. Italy continuing good history never lose from england since a few decades ago. so what do you think about this result? they will meet germany in the semi final, what is your prediction? have a nice day mylotters.

I could support my team, Germany gonna rock and roll in semi-final.
hey show a consistent game so far, and of course, very good inc counter-
attack compare with Italy.
However cassano is such a good player always take advantage to do the best for
his team and country. I really happy see a good player in this EURO 2012.
He the one i watch from the beginning. He very talent person compare ballotelli.

We all are expecting for a thunder there in the semi finals. Germany is really consistent with their performance and now Italy is also on the track. Let us wait and see who deserves the victory most

England was not better than Italy, so it was not too bad that they went home early. But they did have a chance to win the penalty shoot out when Italy missed their second kick. It was just not to be. I feel that a quarter final birth was a passable result for Mr Hodgson. Don't forget that they did quite well in the group matches especially against the Swedes.
I like this Italy team since the first match they played and did pretty well against Spain. I hope they could go on to win the Euro 2012. But I also would like Portugal to win. So it will be a Portugal vs Italy final if I have it my way.

I think on the balance of the play, it was a just result for the Italians. England sat back and soaked the pressure while Italy attacked all the way through. Of course, they did not have the penetration though to score the all important goal against a defensive minded England.
On the England side, quite a few players had a real poor game. Ashley Young was again very poor and I think he is not international class. Milner had a disappointing game. Walcott was not visible after coming on. Even Gerrard and Rooney looked jaded.
So though it was a heartbreaking result, I think it was a just one.

Hello icecubic, it was a superb match. I like it a lot. As usual England again lost due to a penalty shoot out. The way both the teams played were too interesting. but, the Italy moved into the semifinals. They need to face Germany there. Let us hope a good game there .
