watched it again even though it makes me cry(im a dummy at times)

FOr some reason my response to this discussion didn't post last time. So here I go again. I remember you talking about this movie and how much you enjoyed it once before. And the saying is really something. Didn't Jack say it? If so it seems so much more poignant coming from his character.

I am a sucker for these kinds of movie too bunny, i love these feel good movies and i watch these when i want my mood to be light and happy and sometimes there are just too much going on with our lives that it brings comfort..

it is a great saying but I think he was talking about performing sexually, that was all that was in his mind at the time.

I've never seen either but I want to now. I have been thinking of getting Netflix again.

Hello bunnybon7 I enjoy the movie, As Good As It Gets. Although I abhor Helen Hunt as an actress, Nicholson is able to overcome her onscreen presence with his own. I have often wondered about that line, "You make me want to be a better man," and realized that this is so in my relationship with Mrs. Turner. I haven't seen Jack and Jill. oh! as good as it gets! a wonderful movie! it has funny moments and warm hearted and sad moments, but it is a movie with substance...i loved how the jack nicholson character learned to grow and love, and it is really sweet when he tells the lady that she makes him want to be a better man...it also is a lesson on how people are not always as they appear as he seemed to be a mean man, but did a lot of kind things for the waitress and her child and for the neighbor...thanks for this discussion, bunnybon, i haven't seen this movie in a while and it is a nice one to talk about...mr. psychoartist also likes this movie although helen hunt is one of his most unfavorite actresses!

Hiya sweety, Fabulous movie. As Good as it Gets is so well cast and the story line is fabulous. He tries so hard to be better and fails miserably. You can feel his frustration. All the characters are a bit painful at first but like the story, you grow to love them. I haven't heard of Jack & Jill but I will be on the lookout for it.

I did watch "as good as it gets". That is the one with Jack Nickleson??? Thats why i watched it. He reminds me of my grandpa.

hello, Just like you I also loved this movie. Jack Nicholson is the best. He acted in this movie like never before. He was just brilliant. I loved him in this movie. MAny people say that maybe Chinatown is his best movie, but I think that As good as it gets is his best movie. I also watched it hundreds of time. and I also cry every time I watch it. This movie never gets old. Brilliant performance and brilliant direction. Jack and Jill was a good Adam Sandler movie. I also liked it. But it was a bit disappointing compared to other Adam sandler movies.

I have not watched the entire movie, but I did catch most of it the other night when it was on. I am going to watch the entire thing in the future ... probably in the next week or two ... as somebody let me borrow their copy of it so I could watch it from the beginning. I did like that line, especially since it came after he so badly bungled up just about everything else that he said that night. I know that he was not trying to be a jerk ... in fact, he was trying to be nice and social ... but due to his disorder he did not have many of the "social graces" that people take for granted, so he just did not know how to act. Another line that I liked as well (if not better) than that one was where the guy told him that he loved him, and he replied back "I am not into that sort of thing, but if I was then I would be the luckiest man in the world".

hey bunnybon7... i like watching movie. i use movie to improve my English and it very interesting something that i can do to learn. i have never watched both of movies you recommended but i think that sound is very good. i think i have to find both of movies and watch it....lol

As Good as It Gets is a good movie to watch, but I haven't felt like to cry after seeing this movie. But As Good as It Gets is an excellent one, I liked Jack Nicholson the most in this film ...
