It start with a stiff neck and now I have pain all the way down one side. I think it is from the fan being constantly on me. Yesterday it was my knees that were aching that was my fibromyalgia acting up. I hate this, I always have pain somewhere.

I know what your going through with always having a pain somewhere. If it's not my knees, it's my back, or other spots. My new pain is under my left knee. It actually feels like a rubber band snapped. On my good days I can actually bend my knee. There are days where I wish I could just go through one day without having any sort of pain. I'm to scared to see a doctor about it, I'm honestly afraid of what he will do to me. I really don't want anyone poking or prodding around my knee, one false move and I'm not walking.

I know it is scary but you really should go see about it. YOu never know they might be able to do something about it.

I know I should, but I really hate going to the doctor. I looked it up on webmd, and according to them, it could be 3 things. Two of those just require me to either keep my leg elevated for a couple of weeks, the 2nd is wearing a knee brace. The 3rd one requires surgery, something that I don't even want to think about. Plus right now the time isn't good. My husband and kids are going to be gone for weeks at a time for the next two months. Maybe with them gone, I can actually relax and rest my knee. Then I will see the doctor once everyone is back on a regular routine.

Fibromyalgia must be awful. I have read about it because at one point I thought I might have it. Are you using muscles you don't usually use? I used to get weird stiff necks because of the way I slept. And I figure if you are already in pain then sleeping can't be that comfortable. Ugh! Hope it gets better.

Is it part of the fibromyalgia?

my fibro has been bugging me as well. i have had some sort of infection with a low grade fever for a few weeks (i am on antibiotics but they don't seem to be doing much) and i have been so tired. i also think the hot humid weather does not help fibro either (nor does the extreme cold during the winter). hope you feel better soon. today it is much cooler. temp outside now is 18! (what a difference from last week!)

it is 21c here but my house is always hot, winter and summer. I hope your infection clears up it is enough just to have to deal with fibromyalgia.

everyone in my house has pain it seems. i think mine is the worst or it should be since im much older then them. but im also wondering whats going around here. is it the cause of the heat and having the air on so much? i guess it is possible.

The best thing to do is always consult your doctor. Pain is one way your body is communicating with you. It is signalling you that something is wrong. I though hope it's just a result of fatigue. But never ever guess. Consult a doctor.

I am in pain all the time I have arthritis and fibromyalgia I am disabled and under a doctor's care. But this I think is caused by the fan. This time anyhow.

I would advice you to go for acupuncture. I know it may sound unbelievable in he first place, but it really works. My father, he had major back pains from stress and he had knee pain from an injury he had a few years. He went to physiotherapy but it didn't work he kept on eating pain relaxants but those eventually didn't work as while. So someone recommended him to accupunture and after 10 sessions, he's pain was gone. He knee pain reduce greatly. I also had some problem (sinus and pimples) and they are all solved through acupuncture. The important thing is to find a good and well known doctor to do it for you. Beware as there are many scams out there but there usually reuse their needles...which is an absolute no no

I think that might also be your fibro. I think your peripheral nerves become (the only word I can think of is irritated but that's not the word I want. normally I wouldn't think it's the fan bur with fibro you feel everything differently.

fibro is always at the basis of my aches and pains, but I am saying the fan is exaggerating it at this point. Because it is the type of stiffness you get from air. I have had it before I every had fibro when I was in air conditioning or in front of a fan too much.
