Yes, the psyshology behind is just make us to be happy and forget for the time being about the sneezing and make us to happy by saying - someone I love is thinking of me. It is something positive and we would feel proud of it. Anyway, if considering with the real fact, what you said is correct - the rains and cold is around and which help us to catch hold of cold and sneezing! Take care of rains, but enjoy it.

HI jai, Oh God.. hope you are just fine today. Boil water with some cumin seeds and black pepper and drink it you will feel good. There's also a belief that our soul is parting when we sneeze and others around us say 'god bless you'/bless you etc. However i had this sneezing problem due to dust allergy long back and on getting up in the morning, i used to sneeze at least a douzen times... and my neighbor friends used to tease me today its 12, 13 or only 8 or 9 etc. Also they felt that there is someone who really think of me in the hours when i sneeze... Well now if i sneeze for than a couple of times, my children says why God is blessing you doubly???? Take care...

Hahah I have heard about this a lot from my friends. It would be a great coincidence if someone special is also thinking of me every time I would sneeze once or twice. This is quite hard to believe in my case because I have dust allergies and I am also very sensitive to strong perfume/cologne perfume smell, that would make me sneeze any time.

It would be really nice if this superstition was true.. But i don't even believe in superstitions. It has been raining for a few days here too, even i got wet in the rain even if i had an umbrella.. I don't get sick though, since i take vitamins.

My father-in-law would always sneeze at the dining table each time he would take breakfast. He would always be reprimanded by his wife, because he doesn't cover his mouth.

I heard the similar saying. The version I heard is when you sneeze, it means that your admirer is thinking of you. My nose is sensitive and that means to say I sneeze quite often everyday:) I love China

Hi Jai sis, whenever i sneeze i used to heard my mother would said that someone is thinking of me. But when i was ill and sneeze all the time, my mother said that the person who is thinking of me is sick, too.But, i never know who is that, since i have so many friends and relatives. Recently, my son likes to sneeze a lot whenever he is back from school. Does it mean that there is some admirer thinking of him, too? i just don't know how true is this superstition...

hello! just to let you know that the theory does not make any sense, seriously :P i suggest you clean your nose especially during every mornings before or after you take a bath. those dirt can cause you to sneeze and might lead you to colds. gross but you should be aware :) and with our current Philippine season (sunny and rainy, both occurs at least once each day, of course one at a time) i also suggest you take one Ascorbic Acid tablet every day, even those generic brands work effectively. and the most basic to prevent sneezing, follow the traditional "drink at least 8 glasses of water every day". stay safe, health is wealth :D

Well, Way down south (kerala) we do have a popular belief that someone thinks of you and you get a hiccup! This is prominent more when there are babies around. If a baby girl hiccups, we hear a dialouge from the elderly - 'oooo baby your life partner is thinking of you;so you got hiccups' What is saddening is, instead of attending to the baby they just stand in the corner and gossip on how the baby's life partner will be duh!

Hello Jaiho-sis, First off, it's really becoming a popular trend about the person remembering you when ever you sneeze. but i wonder, how about something dusty or some fly got into your nose that was itchy. you have to take rest, have you tried using vics vaporub or something? you should because it's important i think. never fail to cover it though. i had that experience several times too.

Actually what I have heard is that hiccups means someone is thinking of you. Not your special someone, but someone. And the trick is that you say the name of everyone you know one by one, and the name at which the hiccups stop is the person who is missing you. And sneezing once, before going out or doing anything is supposed to bring bad luck, while sneezing twice, is to balance that bad luck, so it will be fine. Odd number of sneezes, bad. Even number of sneezes, good.

Haha! It's funny because we say the same expression in my country! And after sneezing, a friend says a 3-digit number and then we add the digits and find the corresponding letter! This letter is supposed to be the starting letter of the person's name, the one that is thinking about you at the moment you sneeze! I have no idea where it came from, but it is fun when everyone says a number every time I am sneezing :P I hope you get better soon!
