i have a veggie garden outside my house, its full of onions, cucumbers, radishes, squash, beans, and a few other things. recently something has been eating them. i tried a few different food safe pesticides but nothing seems to be stopping the bugs from eating the veggies. any ideas?

Check online what kind of bugs you have and how they can be controlled. Not all pesticudes can be used for all bugs. Have the bugs eaten all your veggies or just some of them? I don´t plant anymore Brussel sprouts because I don´t know hoew to control their bugs.

I don't know what you've tried, but it's unusual for bugs to attack onions and radishes. They don't usually like them. Have you tried DE (diatomaceous earth)? It will take care of almost all bugs and crawling things, but it's not supposed to hurt worms. I've used it with good results. You have to put it on again after you water or after it rains because when it gets wet, it quits working. It's inexpensive and a pound will last a very long time.

Some organic gardening stores and some feed stores have it. You can find it online if nothing else.

Check your plants in the early morning to find out what is eating them. Some products work better than others to solve the problem and the wrong treatment means the bugs will keep eating. My problems is usually snails and slugs and they can do a lot of damage in a short amount of time. Its a problem that has to be controlled right away. Good luck

Food safe pesticides? Does it mean it is still safe for eating even if you sprayed pesticides on it? If certain insects are eating it I wonder why they don't get killed by the pesticide at all. Could it be that an animal is responsible for eating your veggies?

You don't have to use pesticides. There are actually a few home remedies that do okay. You do have to reapply them I think. Usually these little beetle things are what start getting our garden. You can use a mixture of baking soda and water or pepper sauce, or some mild soaps. There are a lot of websites that have info on what is best for what pests you have. You will have to go and try to look and find what it is. Maybe see what's most common in your area.

An inch of white paint on a board surrounding the gardens will stop bugs from passing up over it from the ground. Might also want to try some chicken wire or nets to keep the birds away too.

Where I used to live I had to make cages for young tomato plants because I had birds that would eat them.
