A site can be a paying site in the beginning but eventually, due to mismanagement, poor planning, low income and other factors than cause cause a collapse, this site becomes non-paying. If you want to try those suggested sites, the rule there is to get in early and get out early. All of those are ponzi schemes, illegal, unregistered.
I also tried bidding on freelancing sites although the competition is really stiff.
I have just started studying forex trading with Marketiva ( http://www.marketiva.com/?gid=8777) and affiliate marketing. Marketiva offers a free $5 and a virtual $10,000 account which you can use to practice trading. As for affiliate marketing, I am getting some help from few friends who are already in the business. I realized that knowing these two can be financially rewarding in the long run.
