Is it good habit at least one dicussion daily?

Hi surekharathi, how have you been ?I guess it depends on the individual, some like to be more active , start many discussions and post more, some dont do..In my own case I post more and start fewer discussions , may be one in a week , sometimes even fewer than that - all the best , have a great day

Just enjoy Mylot. Don't stress yourself. If you have something to contribute then do so. That's the way I look at it. Take care!

I would say yes that it is a good habit to be sure to at least respond to discussions. Just to be sure that you stay active. Then it will be like second nature for you to come and post daily. I try to post to the discussions that I get in my email. I try to post to all of them, but at times I find that I really dont have much so say regarding the posts. So if I cant make a decent response then I just dont post at all. I dont start discussions every day. I just start one if I think that its a good topic that others will be interested in posting on. I do however try my best to check as often as I can back to the ones that I have started. And respond to the ones that have posted to my comment.

I guess that depends on the person. I have not started a discussion in a while. I have been busy with other sites and trying to catch up here in MyLot. And the last few days MyLot was having down time trouble along with lots of other sites. So I was not able to log in. I have some friends here that start more discussion then they reply to and some that reply to more then they start.

Well, one discussion per day, provided that it is very concise, I would say that is a good habit. For example, I am writing, perhaps even more of a discussion a day, if I am motivated to do so. Besides, I still try to keep the media in response to at least ten threads a day. At most, I must say that in the days when I felt really inspired, I could write even three threads.

I think that you should do what you can. If you have a lot of time, spend a lot of time making posts and responding. Participation is the main way of earning on this site, the more we earn the better. So more participation.

Yes I think it is good to respond to at least one discussion per day. I think it is good to keep the discussion going by commenting and this will helps to communicate between different myLot. I think it is good to make good friends in myLot.

I am more of a responder, so I don't start discussions too often. When I do, I check out if a similar discussion has already been posted. Usually, that is the case, and I don't want to make a duplicate post. I think coming up with a good, thought-provoking discussion can be quite difficult, so I really like certain people here who ask really good questions that make me think.

Every one gets to do things the way they choose here. There is no right or wrong as to how many discussions or posting once a day or anything. We are invited to participate in any way we like. Some get to spend a lot of time here. Some have daily, weekly or monthly goals. Some will just post. Some will just respond. It's an individual thing.

Hi Right now I am not getting much more time.. But surely starting one discussions daily is good habit. If we can manage discussion daily then having one daily would be good for earnings too, and we can have good discussion with our friends.

Hello Surekha, I seldom start a discussion here on Mylot these days but i feel its good to start at least a discussion daily.But another thing is just starting a discussion is not a great thing one must keep it a live by interacting with the responders.Lately i have been not very active here otherwise starting discussions is good way to communicate with others.

I think what you do is a reflection of your goals. I feel it should be done on an individual basis. Some people are too busy to be creating a discussion daily on mylot and then following up on it? Other people have more time and interested in participating more. Myself it depends on my mood. I pay attention to it.

I think there is no limit of how many discussion you can respond/start. It all depends on your availability but the more you participate, the better.

It is okay whether to start discussions or reply to discussions, as they are equally important in making this fantastic forum runs with flying colors. But from my time here, I have learned to be wary of members who started numerous discussions at one go. I have found that the qualities of the discussions were often low and some impressed me that they were just made-ups. For those members, I will steer away and turn off the notification. I don't want to waste my time to read meaningless discussions.

Hello Surekhs. Starting discussion and replying on topics of other lotters are two main features of mylot. If some one have time than he/she must be post topics but it is also necessary to reply on responses. One must be used search engine of my lot and also complete some tasks.

I do both now: post topics and my discussions.Somehow i don't post topics every day since some time i have nothing to share then i just post my discussions. But i may post 2-4 topics a day if i have an idea about it. Any way we choose is ok, as long as we are happy with mylot...

I seldom initiate discussions,because interesting topics don't come to my mind.This is one reason.Another reason is the poor internet accessibility in my area.If a discussion started by me extracts 10,20 or more responses,then it would become difficult for me to add comments to all of them.I would like to comment back on all responses,because I honor mylotters time and labor they put in responding to my discussions.Poor internet accessibility leaves me helpless. I agree with you,but you can share with your fellow mylotters even by responding to their discussions either.

Yes! It improves your brain and also, many of us will get some solutions to problems by discussion.Our mind will become static if we stop thinking. thus MYLOT is ding a very good job.

sureka, nice to see you after a long time. How are you? As you know i am interested in both of the activities, i will create some topics as well as reply to other persons topics to enjoy mylot fully

I also tend to respond more than start new discussions, but that is just me being lazy as starting new discussions takes a bit more effort. So I am trying to get out of that bad habit by carrying a pen and notebook with me to jot down ideas that pop into my head during the day for new discussions. I have to write it down because by the time I get to my laptop I have already forgotten what I wanted to discuss.
