Hello my friends, How are you today? I have been watching tv, and I´ve realised that the program has more than 15 years! this program was Seinfeid, and I really like it! I also like friends (is not too older), or "El chavo del 8" (a very old mexican tv program, I think more than 30 years, and the channel still shows it!) That made my think about the famous TV shows and people who still choose them. What do you think about this? Do you still see any kind of "old" Tv shows or movies? Thanks for all! And Have a nice day too!

yes some of the old programs are very good like one you mentioned friends.
jokes and humor situations created in the friends are comparable or even better than today's best comedy shows. friends is he best TV series. fools and horses is also one of the best old comedy serial.

Hi Neerruu,
We can definitely compare the movies from the old and new. And it is much of difference especially with the humor. It's more natural back then...and I can really see the natural talent in them in making us laugh.
Though we have some good talents now...but still there are only few.
And I like the story line best with old movies because it's more realistic compared to what we have now.
Just my opinion though.
Happy Mylotting.

I sometimes get to watch old films and TV shows when they're on TV. There was one time when I looked up several classic movies and I decided to watch some of those. Some of these films were The Godfather trilogy (1972+), Shawshank Redemption (1994), 12 Angry Men (1957), and Silence of the Lambs (1991). There were other movies but I wasn't able to watch them fully. Anyway, watching old films isn't really a comfort zone for me but I try to go out there sometimes because there are really many great films from yesteryears. I'm just so surprised at 12 Angry Men. The film is black&white (although there's a colored version, I got to see the b&w one on TV) and all the actors are talking in just one room almost throughout the entire film but it is really a good film, such a classic that I think will still appeal to modern audiences.
A few other old films that I like and just happened to discover lately are Hawks (1989) starring Timothy Dalton and Anthony Edwards, After Midnight (1989), and The Proposition (1998) starring Kenneth Branagh. For sure I know Hawks wasn't released on DVD (Saw it on YouTube but wanted a copy so I bought a VHS copy from eBay) but I don't know about the other two.
As for TV series, I really like Friends, Dharma & Greg, Malcolm in the Middle, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie.
I think there are many great movies and TV programs from the many years ago that are just waiting to be rediscovered and get appreciated by the younger generations. There really are many great works out thre if only we know how to find them and not be afraid to try watching them.

I love old movies and TV programs. It`s incredible that El chavo fel 8 is being watched now by my youngest granddaughter. I watchet it when my children were small. I love many other old shows. Some unfortunatly are not shown anymore. But once in a while, they have them again.

I love tp watch old movies and old television programs. some things are just classics no matter how old they are and they can still bring pleasure to watch. Just because something is not new does not mean that it has no value anymore. /Some of the old movies and programs will probably out live what is being made now.

All the time. That is the Beauty of being able to buy some of your favorite shows on DVD, or be able to find them on some of the many Cable channels there are out there. We also are always watching a lot of the older movies, and from time to time find ones we have never seen that are older as well. Since I have on demand with my Cable company there are many times I am watching something I have missed, or interested in watching there.

One of the reasons I subscribed to Netflix was to watch old TV shows. Some are not that old, like LEXX but I missed seeing them the first time around. Some are older like the Rockford files but I enjoy watching them over again. I'd like to see older shows like Maverick. I also watch Gunsmoke and Bonanza on broadcast TV.

Hi Alilin,
Yeah, I do watch them.
There is a channel in cable in which they would broadcast some old movies...and I do watch them. I even concluded that the movies before were great compared now that it is more on the lighter side...and which aren't of that great quality.
I also watched some old international films and I do like it a lot especially those comedy shows and I have seen stars now who debuted as a child actors and actresses....and they totally look different now compared before (well, since they were young then.
Have a great day!

Hello alilin28
I do enjoy watching the older shows. I like old shows like Barnaby Jones, Barney Miller, and Perry Mason. I also like watching older movies. There seemed to be more a craft to movie making back in the day.
Peace

Old in fact is really gold. This is not a mere consideration as far as entertainment and music sectors are concerned. The old melodies still linger in our minds and they in turn soothes your person beyond limits. The visual representations of yesteryear are apt to bring in us nostalgic memories of the past golden days in life.
