Yesterday, I felt two small lumps on my neck around my jawbone (just little over). My ear started hurting last night, not horrible just ache once in awhile. Its sore from behind my ear down to these lumps. I may leave for a day or two to see if my body will kick it out. I just hope its not a ear infection haven't had one in awhile.

Nope, never have the mumps. But don't they have the shots when you are younger?. I still have these lumps and they are sore, now one under my chin as well. My ears are hurting a little more, so I was thinking this weekend of either going to a Walk in clinic or the emergency room.

well hopefully you dont have to go to the doctor for it and your body fends it off. it does sound like an ear infection. perhaps use a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in that ear and let it boil out. have someone drop a few drops in leave head tilted a couple minutes, then let it drain out either on cotton or towel. sometimes that helps.

Ill have to try that. It was bearable today but still there. I'm taking it easier and if still there in a few days ill be going to the emergency room. I've been having diarrhea as well so I'm hoping its just some bug that passes.

It may be allergy/sinus type stuff. It can lead to an ear infection. Try using a nasal saline spray and an antihistamine, maybe some of the mucus medicine and drink lots of water. You may be able to beat it that way. The saline spray is cheap and it is not medicated,it just helps wash away bacteria and allergens and viruses to help you stay healthy.

It sounds like some sort of an infection, maybe sinus? I'd maybe leave it a few days but if it gets worse, I'd either go to a doctor or try to find something to alleviate the pressure.

But most of the times they swell due to infection. Sometime your body fights it off other times it doesn't. So I will leave it and see how it goes.

A year ago i found my neck have a lump as well and it turn out to be thyroid cancer. Prior this i do not hv any other symptom except my neck area is swelling which i thought i'm just getting too fat. According to my doctor, is quite norm for ppl to hv some benign lumps in that neck area, but of course for my case is quite rare. But i would still advise you to go for doctor review if the lumps is still there after sometimes. Normally doctor will prescribe some medicine for you to take for about 1-2 wks and see if it will disappear before instruct for any scan. Dont worry too much, just monitor for a few days, hope it'll disappear.

Hello. It sounds to me like you have swollen glands. If it gets any worse go and see your doctor. I hope you feel better soon.
