What does " O " and " SPM " stands for?

I am taking down notes on the possible work I which I can upgrade myself to attain the level requiring for my prospect work. I came across this part of the requirements which I cannot understand. Maybe someone here in Singapore whose working knows this term: Requirements: Min ‘O’ Level or SPM Your information is highly appreciated.

O levels is secondary school education. SPM is also the same. However, their difference is, o levels is Singapore schooling system while spm is from Malaysia. Both of these are also equal to igcse. They are all secondary school studies.

O levels refers to a certain level of education attained before one goes to college. It's a big exam we have to take in order to graduate from high school. That level is called "O" levels. SPM is mainly used for malaysians who are coming to singapore for work. I think it's like a certain level of education status they have in malaysia. As for filipinos, u might have to ask the company on what qualification they need for u

I don't know about SPM but O level it what we used to have in English Schools as an exam for 14 or 15 year olds and after that it was A level. We now have GCSEs but the government at thinking or bringing O and A levels back. I have and O lever in maths and a law degree.
