Do mangoes do this?

I am still puzzeled with what happened to me a few months ago. My skin peeled all over (except for my face, palms and feet). It started on the neck area then on the arms, chest and legs. The only thing I can think of is the time that I ate ripe mangoes for at least 5 days straight.
Do you guys think that mangoes did it? The only thing I read about mangoes allergy is about the skin of the mangoes coming in direct contact with skin.

I think you should consult a doctor first before trying any remedies or taking medications. One thing I can suggest for now is that you should avoid for now fishes, chicken, eggs, mangoes as well as pineapples. This could worsen your condition.
If you canhave the EC-27 Guava Soap by Healing Galing, you can try it. It effectively controls 27 skin problems. I just don't know where you can have it. Try to ask any Amazing Touch Clinic (at SM malls) if they have it.

I have already consulted two doctors and they said the same thing that it could be an allergic reaction to the mangoes. They also said that I should not be worried coz the peeling that happened was very light and did not involve my hands and my feet. But I am still wondering if it was really the mangoes

I have never hear of mangos causing this. Usually there is something bigger going on if you are peeling from head to toe without an apparent reason(ie sunburned) . Go see a dr.!

I don't think any fruit can do that.. Both of my parents eat mangoes or bananas almost every day and nothing happens to them.. That is quite alarming though, your skin peeling off. Maybe you should go to the doctor since you may have an allergy of some sort. Good luck.

Tapeworms can cause peeling skin in palm and feet, and gradually spread. But you don't have it there.
It may be caused due to some parasites, you eat along with those mangoes. Can't be sure, you should consult a doctor,if its serious.
