You should be prepared to comment immediately. I am amazed how fast some people can type and get their comment posted. And you should be available for an hour or so after posting as these are the discussion generating comments.
If the poster doesn't reply to comments in a short period, the username is noted and subsequent topics ignored.
If the poster goes on to post multiple topics, I assume that he/she doesn't understand what mylot is all about, and that user will NEVER get a response from me. I don't want or need twitter or facebook lookalikes here!

Some one remembers me been away for a few years doing other stuff, how nice.yes it is really nice in real time.I feel a bit embarrassed about the way I have acted and will put things straight and work this site properly.Everynow and then I may go quiet as my husband has time off and likes to go away;will post so everyone knows I am not back to my old ways.

A week?
I treat the discussions on myLot in the same way that I would treat a conversation offline. If I ask a question and someone answers me, then I reply to them immediately. I think they would not bother responding to me next time if I didn't react like that because they might think that it was rude to leave them without a comment, like talking to a blank wall
We earn for our activity here so if someone responds, they earn, and I can earn by commenting back to them. As myLot is for discussions we can even get a back and forth chain going and earn even more while getting to know them better too.

I don't wait that long to answer people back unless I'm very busy. But normally as soon as someone sends me a reply I write them back I don't wait to get around it. One because then I'm losing some time to make what money I can and keep that discussion going longer. I don't always give out best responses right away I normally wait on those for a bit.

yeah it's hard if there is no one to discuss with. Everyone one does it differently I like to keep things moving if I can. I know I get busy being a mom, and raising one baby and getting read for another I try to always find the time to just get back to everyone if I can.

I am constantly checking my email, and since I get notified when someone responds, I get back as soon as possible. There have been times, though, when I've missed a response or two - usually that happens if one of my discussions - which happens rarely - gets a lot of responses, and after commenting back for a few days, I figure no one else will be responding by then - and am surprised when I go through them a month or so later and see a few more responses. I still say something back at that time, and apologize for my late reply.

I'm still new here, so I guess I check my discussion a bit more frequently than you do. I don't have that many discussions that I follow yet, so naturally I'm keeping my eye more on my discussions. You can call it enthusiasm, if you like lol.
Enjoy the forums!

If I waited for a week or so to answer my responses to my discussions I wouldn't make pay out and I would never get them all done. I am usually curious and can hardly wait to see who responded and what they have to say on the subject. And I work hard to answer each although the guidelines make it sound like you don't have to answer them all.

I do not have any set parameter for responding to replies. Sometimes, I immediately start checking on and responding to the replies. At other times, I wait for some time- sometimes even a month or so, if I am busy. It is not a planned activity.

I reply as soon as I know I have replies and I have the time to write replies. I get e-mail notifications for when someone makes the first comment on a discussion I made, and I have to check back myself to see any replies they make after I make my first reply. I think it's best to reply as soon as possible so that you can get a good discussion going. The commenters I like the best are the ones who'll keep talking to you. I get a little sad when I reply back and they don't respond.

That happens to me too! If I find I have nothing to say then I usually try to say some sort of positive acknowledgement before I close. If I have absolutely nothing to say then I don't respond. I can usually think of something to say, especially if it's a good response to whatever it was that I was trying to discuss.

As most people have already said, I do not wait to comment back to responders on my discussions. As soon as I post the discussion, I have the page open and refresh it regularly until I get a response. Normally as I am reading and commenting back to the first response I will get more responses, so I will continue on comment and going back and furthering the conversation in many response boxes until I have to get off the computer for the day.

Hello suzzy3
As myLot is all about having Discussions, I will not normally post a Discussion if I cannot be available to converse with people who are kind enough to respond to my Discussion.
In my experience, when I reply to a Discussion, I am sorely disappointed when I do not hear back from the Original Poster for some time, and I make a mental note to avoid these Discussions.
I try to reply as soon as I can to the people who respond to my Discussions.
Peace
I love the world!!

PageTurner, you just reminded me that I really have to go back to my discussions and check through them, because I think that I got a couple comments that I have not responded to yet.
In my defense, I do not start many discussions, so when I do start one I return to check it regularly, but then after a few days of not getting any new comments or responses I tend to forget about them until I start a new one.

It's all according to our personal goals, suzzy3. For me, I actually enjoy discussing. Others don't have that goal, and that's okay, too.
Peace.

I do not wait. Show must go on so i carry on writing, sharing different topics. And whenever response comes i do read it and reply to. Everybody is anxious for the responses for his discussions.

Well, after I've written a discussion, after an hour or two to start, commenting t those who have just left their reply. Frankly speaking, once a week seems a bit excessive. Then, as you can understand, everyone has their own time!

I try to answer back as soon as I can. I get excited to see what others have said, it would kill me to wait any length of time! The most I have waited and not by choice was I think 5 days, and it was killing me but I was moving so had no choice...

I don't wait for all to comment. If I start a discussion at the beginning before shutting down the computer I used to check and reply for all comments that I receive.
But You told that usually you wait for about a week to post reply, then why did you reply too early to this discussion !?

I used to respond right away when I saw that somebody replied my discussion if I am available. Sometimes I waited a few hours before I respond because I read some discussions first. For me better to respond soon enough so that I can do more here in mylot.
