Some of you people here may already know that I went for a vacation to our capital city last month. I stayed with my sister there and had a blast. One of the best thing I could say I did was watch Avengers in 3D cinema. Sounds so provincial of me right? Well, that's really because there is no cinema in our city that offers the same. That really sucks, in my opinion. I wish I had enough money to open one here. Anyway, watching Avengers in 3D made me just want to watch any other good movie in 3D, especially now that The Amazing Spider Man is about to be shown here. Now I just wish I could watch it in 3D. I always watch Spider Man and Transformers in cinema and not wait for the DD release because I love watching them in giant screen and good sounds. Now I want to experience this plus 3D. Oh, how I badly want to be in Manila right now.
Anyway, any movie buff here that likes watching this kinds of movie in 3D? I wonder who wouldn't? Why can't our cinemas here offer 3D experience?

Hi Choybel.
I love 3D. I love watching movies in 3D...but because it's expensive...I don't want to watch 3D every single movie that I would watch in Cinemas. I still do appreciate 2D especially those movies that don't have a lot of actions or effects to watch on.
I've been always in the cinema lately.
Anyways, I did watched Avengers in 3D last time. And I am surprised that Avengers is still showing now...it's been a long time since it premiered already.
We also need to think our budget in going 3D...^^
Have a great day!

Is it still showing now? Wow! that's really surprising. I guess some people would love to watch it again and again. You are right if only it wasn't that expensive, and if it was available here, I'd probably watch that again.
I have nothing against movies in the normal 2D mode, but there are movies I would love watching in 3D especially those that are filled with effects.

Yeah...and be fooled with those effects as if you are being thrown or something. I remember when I was watching Alice in Wonderland. I got fooled with the butterflies and I got afraid and just move out of the way...^^

Hello choybel
I didn't think that I would like the new 3D movies as I had worried that it would cause my head to ache, as the old 3D movies have been prone to do.
I think the first modern 3D movie I saw in the cinema was, 'Up!' I was amazed by how good an experience this was. I then saw, 'Avatar' in 3D. If you haven't seen 'Avatar' in 3D, I dare say that you haven't experienced this movie at all! It was amazing.
I rarely go to he cinema. In fact, I don't think that I have been since Sherlock Holmes (#1) was released. However, my brother has a giant flat screen television that also offers 3D viewing. When he bought this television, I thought that he would be disappointed. I didn't see how he could enjoy quality 3D viewing on a home television.
I was glad to learn that I was wrong in my assumptions, as I have enjoyed watching many 3D shows on his television. I saw 'Captain America' on his 3D television, and it was very nice that way.
The movies and shows that are made to be viewed in 3D are the best, but his television also has the ability for us to view any show in 3D, and it still looks amazing. My brother likes to watch football in 3D.
I am glad that you had such an exciting 3D experience. I hope that you are able to see more 3D movies real soon.
Peace :)

I am now curious and very much interested to watch Avatar in 3D. I believe for that to happen I would have to buy a 3D widescreen TV first. I had doubts about it but since you said that it was a good experience altogether, then I believe it will be. I just wish I have enough to buy one. For now, I'll be wishing for a lot of things and 3D TV is definitely one of it.

I hope that you're able to get one, or at the very least, see Avatar in 3D.

Honestly, I don't like 3D movies. Don't get me wrong, I think they're amazing, however, they make my head hurt after awhile. Further, they distract me from the whole story because I'd be waiting which part would be 3D and which ones are not. hhee..
However, I really like 3D movie when it's cartoons. I think cartoons are best when they're 3D compared to movies. The one I cannot forget was when I watched Despicable Me in 3D it was amazing.
I am fortunate that we have 3D cinemas in my area and the pricing isn't that expensive. But my poor eyes just can't take them all in.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I am glad you enjoy them. But, you belong to a rare group. They have been trying to push the idea of 3D since I was in grade school. (I am now 68.) It still hasn't caught on. In my opinion it is a distraction from the story and totally unnecessary.

3D isn't really new to my knowledge, but you are right, our country has not really caught up to many things and one of them is this. Although 3D cinema has been available in some cities for some years now, it still isn't accessible to most. It could be a distraction, but I like to think of it more as a great development for the movie experience.

I feel you about watching movies in 3D but sometimes it's just a nifty effect that doesn't really add much to the experience. Clash of the Titans for example, it was just a big action 3D mess. Personally, I don't feel like many movies need to be in 3D but who knows, there's probably plenty more good movies to come out in 3D. I just don't feel the need to watch movies in 3D because they cost more than they should, just my opinion though.

I have only watched one so far so maybe that is why I'm still in this hype about it. This would probably be gone when I get to watch more. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening soon because of the unavailability of it here. The cost is also a factor here, you are right. That is why I would only choose to watch good movies in 3D.
Thank you for your opinion.
