Yes in our office we still use the fax as one form of sending memorandum circulars and other form of communications. Although we are also using the internet in sending communications yet there are times that other offices does not have a scanner and they can not send through internet documents which are not signed so fax is the other option.

I think some companies still uses fax machines these days. Specially for those that needed a hard copy of everything. And if they needed to sign a document and send back, I think it is better to use fax then to scan and send through email. Our company still uses the fax machines. :)

I still receive travel documents via the fax machine.
I need them for my clients to sign when the trip is done.
I have offered for the document to be emailed so that I
can print it off...thereby saving one lot of paper, but
it was determined that faxing was the best option.
These documents hold private info so for that reason I
guess, faxing is better...there are no copies.

Yes, email can be fast and cheaer, but there are other companies that doesn't have internet here in our country. Also, there are some documents that needs to be scanned first before sending thru email, but some companies does not have scanners. They are still using fax for faster sending of some documents. Yes fax is still used in our office.

Youless, most companies in my areas here are still using fax. Indeed it is easier and faster to send file using the net. But the problem is, not everyone is good at using the net. Only those who ever learned the net is expert at using the net to send their file. I think that's why, most companies still prefer to keep their fax machine.

We still use fax because it is more practical. No need for internet wires/computer/more space.

I think fax machine is still common in companies. It is alternative if there is no internet connection and need to transfer file or letter.
We do have fax machine here that is really useful especially to those branches that we have who are having a hard time with their internet connection.

We send FAXs from home yet because if you're job hunting or trying to get some government agency to do something for you sending a FAX is far more effective than an email. I don't know why but an actual piece of paper is a lot harder for them to ignore than a electronic file sent as an email.
