Recently , I came across this fabulous Chinese proverb "Think of your faults the first part of the night when you are awake, and the faults of others the latter part of the night when you are asleep" , which says it all...
Self analysis on our daily actions ,activities and interactions with others do help us grow as individuals, please add your own views..

yes, self analysis is very important and we should do it realize or come to know what are the plus points we have and what are the negative things which we can remove from ourselves and how can we improve as a person in life.
if we analyze our self then we can conquer the problems we have in life because we know what are the weaknesses we have and what the strengths we have and how to utilize our strengths and minimize weaknesses.
if we judge or do analysis of our day we can come to know where we took wrong decision and where we were wrong and what should be our perception we should have towards life, friends and family.
we learn from our mistakes that is why if analysis our day we can easily come to know and realize what are mistakes happened from us and next time we will keep that in mind and we can take wise decision keeping our lesson which we learned from past experience.

yes, self analyzing is a key to success because if we get to know and understand what are the strengths we have and what are the weakness we have we can easily strengthen our strengths and weaken our weakness by efforts and by various ways.

Hello kiranji
As a kid, every night, at bed time, my late grandfather used to ask me what I did the entire day right after getting up till getting down to sleep. I shared everything with him and then we would discuss what I did was right or wrong and if wrong, how can I do it right the next time.
Such interaction did make me learn a lot from my mistakes. As I grew, I also started making a note of others' mistakes, their abilities when they got something right and I had failed on a similar attempt.
Today, this has become a kind of habit with me. In between somewhere, I also used to write out my analysis in a diary but then one day it fell in wrong hands and I learned that I should not write but retain those things in mind.

Self analysis is very important. The better we know ourselves the better we are in our relationships. Knowing ourselves opens many doors closed to us when you don't understand or know ourselves very well. I think that this is partly when we are here. To live and excel. There are many levels we need to grow to.

Hi, kiran8.
I've never heard this proverb before, but I liked it so much. I believe that the Chineses have some good proverbs to us. I am descendent of Chinese and I have done a research about it sometimes and it is very nice.
About self analysis, I think it is very important too, because it is easier to us to see the other people mistakes and fails than to look to what we are doing wrong. If we can look to ourselves rationally, we will be able to improve ourselves to become better people. Happy mylotting.

It is a problem that has preoccupied many philosophers, since the ancient times. Socrates used to say "Know yourself". I think that it is one of the most important things in life. We should know ourselves before knowing each other, because only this way we find out what we truly want from life and who we are. By self analysis, we find out what we like and what we dislike, our expectations from life, and this is the only way to succeed.

Yes Kiran,
self analysis is good. It makes a person perfect. We generally criticize others and don't see our own faults. Buddha said, search yourself. You will get the right path. You yourself will get the emancipation. Need no master.

You know KiranG Chinese are masters of saying right things in shape of puzzles and proverbs. I wish people knew the real meaning of those saying going into deep. What the proverb actually means that we should analyze our own mistakes while we are able to understand them and should not go for finding fault of others because that is for them to do. Therefore we should do that while we are sleeping means we should not do that.
Anyways, some of us are great pretenders who never hesitate to find faults in others while we are full of faults, which need immediate correction.
