I also experienced that chronic pain in my feet up to my toes for almost 6 months. I also talked to my doctor about it. He ask what type of foot wear I'm always wearing of, maybe I'm getting problem about it. And as I remember since I moved here in my town I changed what kind of foot wear I wore. I used to wear high heels shoes or slippers but when I moved here I just changed it into flat. That's were I started to felt a pain in my toes going up to my foot. I also noticed that when I eat food that high in protein like beans and nuts I felt the pain. Starting on I used again high heeled foot wear and I reduced eating high protein products. And it's gone now I can walked far without any pain. Try to check your foot wear or try to have a check up on your uric acid.

If your job requires being on your feet a lot select a really supportive athletic shoe. You can try to see a podiatrist to find out if you need special insoles. Unfortunately these symptoms can also be related to diabetes. I hope you get it figured out.

I don't have any symptoms of being diabetic, since I get back on wearing healed shoes or slippers not so high maybe 1 or 2 inches is enough it never hurts again.

I can only think of two reasons why your toe is hurting:
1. You have high uric acid in your body. Visit your doctor and he'll probably give prescription and curb your intake of nuts and other foods high in uric acid.
2. You have a bad case of ingrown on your toe. This really hurts bad. Your nail is pushing through your skin and flesh as you're walking. Sometimes, operation is needed to remove the whole toe nail surgically. Just hope the new toe nail grows properly.
Anyway, good luck!

I had neither of those problems, but did have bunions and arthritis in my toe because I used to trip a lot and hurt it when I was younger. I ended up having the bunion removed and some bone chips and spurs taken out and the joint replaced. Besides watching her diet to lower the uric acid content, sour cherries are good to help reduce uric acid and gout symptoms. Gouty arthritis is caused by elevated uric acid in the blood.

Try taking extra B complex vitamins and eating candied ginger root or sour cherries, even dried ones work. Or you can get ginger in a capsule as well. All of these things help with joint pain. I learned it from both my doctor and my chiropractor. Do you get up at night and stub your toe perhaps?

It could be that you stubbed it at some point and forgot about it. More likely though it's broken or sprained. I've had a broken or sprained toe at one point and had to wear a little toe thing for it to heal.
The top parts of my feet sometimes hurt when I lift up when walking. First it was my left foot, then yesterday my right foot started doing it. It's not doing it now, but I find it odd as I'm not sure how I injured it.

I have encountered the same problem a couple of months back and I was diagnosed with high Uric Acid. My sincere advise is to see a GP and get this thing checked before its time for some steroids to get over the pain.
