Should I break contacts with all the family members?

This sounds to be weird but I faced a strange thing last week. I had to scold one of my nephew for giving me a cold shoulder. This was basically in response to his mothers teaching to avoid me. The moment he did not react but later he sent such irritating libel on face book that it haunted me over all night. I could have responded in the same manner but I wanted to tackle the situation maturely so I had to let it go with a short complaint to his dad. Since then there is no word of apology or regret. I am a very hyper emotional person who gives immediate response but this one is pounding my head with a hammer. I want him to just come face to face and I beat the hell out of him but is there some other way of relieving myself?
