A little bit of fun in an inappropriate place.

My week is taking a little bit of a bad turn, but my weekend was great. I wanted to tell you about something funny. So my dad's birthday was Monday. My sister, BIL, and 'A' (the foster child they are going to adopt) came up to visit him for the occasion. They stayed the night with my parent's so they could go to church with them in the morning. I was excited to be able to make it to church to0. I had a headache that morning, but it was not a migraine. So we're sitting in church, and 'A' (who is almost a year old) made it through the service with no trouble until the very end (they didn't take her to the nursery because they thought the oxygen tubes might worry the people having to watch her). Before she could make any noise, my BIL quietly took her out. When he came back in they were just making announcements, so he was standing at the back and all of a sudden - ppppfffffffffffffffff. 'A' passed gas so loud it would have made an excessive bean eater proud. Mindy, my BIL, and I all looked at each other and tried to not to burst out in giggles. People were like, what was that? It was so funny. And cute. That's probably the only time in one's life where passing gas is cute - as a baby. Funny stuff you'd like to share? I could use the laughs.

it wasnt so funny at the time but it is now after all these yrs, once when i was 12yrs old i had a crush on a guy that came to our house to visit some times. i sat down on the couch one day while him and my step dad was playing cards at the card table and without warning, the gas just came and out loud. i thought id die. they laughed as i fled from the room. and i heard the crush say, "why does that embarrass girls? its natural." but i could never face my crush again.

We were in church one Easter morning when my son was just 19 months old. My mother was holding him...we were in the last pew in the church....she had him standing on her lap and looking to the wall when suddenly all the lights started going out...well the switches were right behind my mom and my son flipped all the switches....everyone in church turned around....my mother was up and out of the church in seconds! LOL.....I flipped the lights back on and church continued.

I'm with you. Yesterday it got up to 106 degrees. And the humidity made it worse.

That is so adorable! Well I might as well let you laugh at my expense. Really stupid thing I did this morning. Every morning I have the habit of making tea. I make it in the tea pot, putting the loose tea in there and then pouring a cup of water in the tea pot and BAM start to brew it... Well this morning I forgot the most essential ingredient, the water. So it burnt a bit and I had to throw out that tea, wash the pot out and try it again. The pot's a wee bit burnt but not bad.

Almost a year old and still on oxygen.. wow! How is she otherwise? Is she walking or talking or any of that yet? Does she have to be on oxygen all the time?

She was born three months premature (weighed one pound), and in the hospital for the first six months of her life. But last month they took her OFF the oxygen during the day, and she only wears it at night now. However, the day we took her to church she was wheezing, so they went ahead and put the oxygen on her just in case. She is on schedule as far as premature babies go according to the doctor. She cannot walk or talk, but she can sit up and roll around and things like that. She's such a sharp baby. I mean she pays attention to every little detail, curious to see what's going on. You ask if she wants to give her dolly a kiss and she'll hold the doll close to her and kiss it. My sister and I were walking, talking, and potty trained by the age of one, but that's supposed to not be common, so we're really not sure what "normal" babies are doing by this age. And I personally don't know how long premature babies take to catch up to full term babies.

Normal babies can usually say a few words before a year, and are usually trying to walk.. like at least pulling themselves up or walking with help. Mine were mostly walking by 9 or 10 months except for 2 of them who didn't walk completely until 14 months but they were at least standing and walking with help. None of mine were potty trained until after they turned 3. I don't know about premies because none of mine were born early and the only premies I know of are now the same age as my kids.. I didn't know them when they were babies.

I have grand children, and my husband's name is Bob, so to the grands he is Grandpa Bob. . . well my middle granddaughter went through about a year and a half where every grandpa was a Grandpa Bob. Her other Grandpa is Gary, so he was Grandpa Bob Gary. She has play dates with a friend who had a grandpa visiting, so Hallie asked her mom if Nadia's Grandpa Bob was going to be there. The little ones can be so cute. She also knows that Curtis is her brother, and he is a boy, but she is still referring to him as "she".

hi ambiepam oh yes the obnoxious preacher who came to our hou se and started to chastize me for reading magazines and wearing a necklace. i was ill at ease and trying not to say anything wrong.I did say tol him that my church allowed all of what i was doing' and then my dog came over. I never saw anything like it or smelled anything so bad but my dog Pat turned her rear end towards this preacher and let go a fart that was horrible. He shook hands with my husand and practically ran out of the front door and into his car.we almost had hysterics.I swear that dog did it on purpose. lol loll

That was hilarious !! I remember when my son went to church, he was a special child so he makes a lot of noise. We went outside and he runs in the ground until the mass was finished. I haven`t got a chance to listen to any sermon of the priest but it was really fun you know. We just went home and i went again to church, i am alone this time and i did listen and pray peacefully. Looks like it`s a bad idea of mine to go to the church with my son but maybe someday you know.

Hm well my BF did make the comment a few weeks ago that I must be getting comfortable with him, enough to fart in his presence. Believe me, I tried to hold it. lol

Ah, but can you pee in front of him? I always heard you knew married couples had been married too long when they would go to the bathroom in front of the other one.
