Here is some psychological thing I felt after I clean up my room, which was such a big mess, and I have books, unused electronics, like old CD - player, speakers, and numerous boxful of something, my mom would call them junks. I was reluctant to let go of them, because some of them bring me cherished memories. On last week, since my room is out of space, and I have to shove new stuff to my other room, my mom was screaming about it. I finally determined to clean up all the unused junks, and throw them away. After a whole day hard work, I finally have plenty of space in my room. Although it was a tiresome chore, I felt good to clean up some space. So, how many of you have unused junks cluttered around your house, do you intend to clean them up. It might save some money too. I heard that 15% of American usually have to rent a storage to store their junks.

I like to tidy up cluttered surfaces and it makes me feel happier. Like should be stored with like. It is horrible when I can't find something. My son has a huge storage cupboard in his bedroom and I have a lot of stuff in there on the top shelf. I have my kids home at the moment since it is the Easter holiday. Once it is term time I will tidy up perfectly and do some more clutter clearing. It is crazy 15 percent of Americans have to rent a storage facility to store their clutter.

I actually do believe that cleaning up cluttered spaces will make you feel better. Basically because you have a sense of accomplishment. And also the fact that everything looks clean and net and you also feel like it is new as well. I am in the process of cleaning up some clutter around the house, especially this extra room I have. It is full of all kinds of stuff. So when I am done I know I will feel good about it.

It's said There's a lot of garages so full of junk and clutter that there's no room inside for the car!

I think cleaning up your immediate area is a great way to feel like you have accomplished something. Nothing better than to have a clean kitchen and bathroom. If you work to clean as go and as you dirty a space it is so much easier to clean up after. It is hard to do and even harder to teach this to kids.

Hi King, indeed cleaning up the clutter space is a good way to have a bigger space in our room. I always cleaned up my room and my entire home, a few months once and dump those unwanted items away. Those can be recycle, i will be sending them to the nearby recycle shop. As for the things that can be reused, i am giving them to my relatives or charity center. i always make sure that my home is not full with unwanted junk. At least, we will have a clean home with only daily needed things in our home.

Of course cleaning up your room or any space that you think you work with you have to maintained it neat and clean. Being tidy person it show the personality of one person. I don't know to other person. There some person who are comfortable living in a cluttered space or maybe for them it is easy for them to find their stuff in that manner. But I think it is good to throw away or store your stuff you don't used often. Like me I like my place to be in order and things that is not needed I just stored them to my storage house. Or for those stuff that you don't need but has value you can make a garage sale. What is the used of renting a storage house just to store your stuff which you don't need. This days we must learn how to save money realizing that a single penny of your money means a lot. Let us try to make money out our junks in our home. Utilizing those junks stuff into gold. Well getting rid of your junks is a tiring stuff but after that hard work you will find that there are something you can make money out junks. Well I hope this will help.

I have in the past ended up with alot of junk, and eventually ended up getting rid of it. I think it does make you feel better and more relaxed.

Honestly I know it would help me. I live in a house with family now and it's just awful the way the house is. So much stuff lying around, years and years of people's junk and a lifetime of other's. We have so much stuff, we are hoarders. The bad thing about it is we just have no way to really start to clean everything up. Everything we have we want to keep, and yes we do throw some things away. Honestly if we could move the boxes out, build some shelving and place it around the house we could store a lot of this stuff on it.

I feel great when I tidy to up my rooms and get rid of things that I no longer use. In the past I kept far too many things, today I only want to keep the things that I really like or the things that I know I am going to use in the future. I go through my things relatively often. I pick out the things that I want to keep and divide the rests of the things in 3 piles: Things I will try to sell, things that I will give away to friends or to charity and things that belong in the rubbish bin. I think it is great to rid of things that I don't really need, and it always makes me feel better to get rid of unwanted clutter. Unfortunately my husband is a hoarder, and we don't have the same defination of clutter

There is cluttered, but I know where everything is. That is usually my clutter. I can handle that. When the rest of the world (my household) adds to that clutter then I get overwhelmed.
I have been working really hard to keep the areas that I use most frequently, like my desk/office area, nice and neat. I try to keep up with the laundry and the messes in the toy room.

I think cleaning up clutter is always good. How can your mind be at ease when you are bumping into things in your home all the time? My room was messed up so it made me tense. I have cleaned it, and I now feel more relaxed. It helps me use some built up energy as well.

Personally, working in a clean and organized environment is a big factor to achieve a good output. I make it a point to clean up my mess after working so that it wouldn't add to my burden by the next time I started out working again. Also, when I noticed that my files are starting to file up, I had to make a general reorganizing of my files and other things around.
Making the place of work clean can help us think clearly.

As much as I feel tidying somewhat of a burden, I always feel better in a tidy, clear space. Maybe because of my being proud/praising myself for finally doing it, the symmetry, the lightness, the order... but it does make me happier or more content. Even more free... if that makes any sense.
