Spanish players immediately cheered when
a penalty kick hit the crossbar from Bruno Alves Cried the irrepressible joy was getting a penalty when Cesc Fabregas's ball on the right pole and sinking into the
goalkeeper Rui Patricio. Spain won the
dream "hat trick" champion closer to
reality. The second shootout in the 2012
European Cup held again to determine the
winner between Spain and Portugal. Tough
game without a goal for 120 minutes to
force the two teams test luck. The first kick
by Xabi Alonso Spain and Portugal by
Joao Moutinho was foiled by the
goalkeeper. The situation became tense
when the two teams managed two penalty
kicks into goals. Andres Iniesta and Gerard
Pique became the executioner of Spain.
Pepe and Luis Nani Portugal became the
executioner. However, Spain became the upper hand when Sergio Ramos scored
fruitful kick and kick Alves failed. Fabregas Spain eventually became the winner with a goal that changed the score to 4-2. With this victory, Spain advanced to the finals and won three of their dreams for a major tournament title, the 2008 European Cup,2010 World Cup and European Cup in2012, almost a reality. In the finals, the team of La Furia Roja will challenge thewinner between Germany and Italy, in the second semifinal. For Portugal, this defeat adds a long list of their failure to win the European Cup title. What do you think about this result? let's share guys

The world's best midfield unit and the world's best midfielder could not muster a goal during the whole match and extra time. Ronaldo had the chance of winning it for Portugal late in the game, but he blazed over. Then the shootouts. What was surprising was there was no Ronaldo to take the kick!! Was he the fifth scheduled penalty taker or was he not even in the list. Even more surprising was the fact that three defenders went up to take the penalties for Portugal when there was so much of attacking players available to select from!! For a side that had meticulously planned on how to blunt the Spanish attack, this was a major loophole in their strategy just when victory was up for grabs!!
Cheers!

It was a good game, event there was no goals. But Portugal plays good 90 minutes. In extra time Spain was much better, but Portugal defences was fair to keep score 0:0. On penalties I think that Ronaldo must be kick taker later, not the last. Maybe they will go trough if Ronaldo will take his chance. It will be sensation if Portugal will play in final. But honestlly Spain deserve it, they are the best team in this tournament.

For the first time in the tournament, a team finally decided to have a go at the Spanish instead of letting them dictate the play. And from the look of it, they do not look that fearsome. If Portugal had a better striker than Almeida, they would have been preparing for the final instead of taking the flight home.

Actually Spain is deserved to reach final and already in most of people who had watched the game yesterday. I really impressed the Spain performance when playing in extra time.
However they gonna face another giant team, might be Germany (my favorite team).
Have a nice day.
