Interest in making a foreign food

Hello mylotters, I have my insomnia nights again and I've been thinking of improving my cooking skills. We've gone to a Korean restaurant and I have tasted Kimbap. And it was really delicious. So, during my insomnia nights, I've researched about that food and it seems very easy to make (I hope so, for me)...and I am planning to make one with the help of my sister on my mother's birthday. It's foreign for me but I would want to try to make one just to learn some other kind of food. Do you have any interest in cooking a foreign food? Have you tasted Kimbap? How well do you like it?
