If you decided to open an account on BPI just because you want withdraw cash from paypal, then you could be disappointed. Unless, of course, your atm card also happens to be debit card. Then, you could use it to verify your paypal account. If your card either have the visa or mastercard logo on it, then I'm quite sure you can use it for paypal. Before you could withdraw your money from paypal. First, you have to verify your paypal, which simply means you have to link your debit or credit card with paypal. The verification fee is PhP 100. But after paypal have already verified your account, they will refund this amount to your credit/debit card. Verification usually takes about 2-5 days. By the way, if your BPI account could not be use for Paypal verification, you can try using UnionBank EON card. It's currently the cheapest debit card (PhP350 annual fee with no maintaining balance) in our country and probably the most used debit card for Paypal verification, as well. I hope this helps.

hi! Do you know the complete requirements in applying for eon debit card ? How many working days would I receive the card from applying?

@blebchel If you are going to apply for any bank account or bank-related material, always bring 2 valid IDs. Valid IDs are usually government issued. Student IDs can also be used, as long as you are currently enrolled. Don’t forget to get a photocopy of them but keep the original within reach. The bank needs a copy of your IDs but also reserve the right to see the originals. You need to pay a transaction fee (350 pesos) to pope the account. You have to wait seven working days for your card to be ready. When you receive it, they have a default PIN code that you change using the ATM machine. After that, you can apply for an EON Online account.

first you need to attach your bpi account to your paypal account, then its should be verified, by then when it is verified you can transfer your paypal money to you bank account and you can withdraw it, but first you need to verified first your account in BPI before withdrawals take first.

hi there smart! thank you for the information that you shared. I think that what I have is an atm and it does not have any mastercard or visa sign so that means it is not a debit card that I can use to withdraw my money but then it is ok because maybe soon I will open a debit account

Before you can make a withdrawal, you need to attach first your bank account or debit/credit card details to your Paypal account. To attach these accounts, log in to your Paypal account and go to Profile Add/Edit Bank Account or Profile Add/Edit Credit Card. BANK OF THE PHIL ISLANDS (BPI) 010040018 That is the bank code for BPI. I think you cannot use your ATM. Its either Debit or credit card card only.
