but recently Burger King is serving sweet potato fries. I wonder if they are any good. Anyone try them yet? I never cared for sweet potatoes and now they are making fries out of them. Ugh! I like regular fries, even home made ones, with no salt. How about you?

I love sweet potatoes especially the fried ones. I tried making them at home but not actually buy it from a fast food chain. I think they dont have that here in our place. But if we will have, I am surely going to buy it. I really like to eat it with salt and butter.

You do? I like them if they have marshmallows and brown sugar.

No, the marshmallows and brown sugar are on the plain sweet potatoes not on them made as fries.

Hi again - I'm not sure what your sweet potatoes are but ours are the same consistency as regular potatoes, not squash.
We have them as wedges with sour cream...so yummy. Regular spuds are delicious this way too. Done in the oven is better than deep frying.

No, this is the same thing and when cut in pieces and baked in the oven they are very much like Summer squash which I don't care for.

You are like my son, he doesn't like sweet potatoes because he finds it too heavy but me I do love sweet potatoes because is is healthier than regular potatoes. The orange or yellow one is one of the best sources of beta-carotene. Sweet potatoes even the purple ones have superior amount of Vitamin A and Vitamin E and have antioxidant and cleansing properties and anti-inflammatory properties in our digestive tract particularly so that it lowers the risk of colon cancer and risk posed by heavy and metals and oxygen radical. Sweet potato is actually not just healthy but beauty food, a fact which an ordinary potato can't be told of. So to me it's sweet potato forever and ever!

I don't care for sweet potatoes because they remind me of squash and I really don't care for their consistancy.

Ya, I don't like french fries all that much either. Mostly because of how they are made. The homemade ones are the best.

I don't the last time I had anything from Burger King. I love potatoes and fries were the first thing made from sweet potatoes that I actually liked. The TV commercials for Burger King are very tempting.

sweet potatoes are not something I eat but I have eaten the fries and they are actually good. They give the french fries a different taste and they are supposed to be much healthier for us in the long run.

Ya, sweet potatoes are supposed to be very good for us. I think they are too much like squash and can't really handle them. I will have to try one of the fries just out of curiousity.

Is it Burger King? Actually yeah I think they are now, but Wendy's has been serving sweet potatoes, not sure if they are making fries out of them. I love sweet potato fries, but honestly I don't really like them store bought. I'd rather make them myself. As for Burger King's? They are probably good, i just hope they'd be using a different kind of oil to fry them in.

It might be different in your area. I just know that here they have a pulled pork sandwish and the sweet tator fries on for the Summer. I like Burger Kind and Wendys for hamburgers and such. BK grilled them and I like the flavor. McD's has meal or something they add and I can't eat them much. Not sure of the oil they use.

I didn't know Burger King was serving sweet potato fries! I am not interested in trying them. I am not a fan of sweet potatoes to begin with. I would rather stick with good old french fries! I like straight cut fries the most. Crinkled fries, too.

I love all kinds of fries. I did not know Burger King had sweet potato fries - now I will have to go and try them out. There is one near my office. If they are made right they are super yummy - Thanks for letting us all know.

I am a definite tator girl. Even like the Golden Yukon fries this one drive in has here. I hope that the BK in your area has them. They just started servicing them here the last few weeks. I know that different locals can be different and not have them at all of them.

Seeing as how you don't really care for sweet potatoes to start with, I can honestly say that you probably wouldn't care for sweet potato fries. Now, for me, there has been a restaurant in our area for years that serves them and they are something that I've always been a fan of. However, I am also the kind of person that will opt to have sweet potatoes with my steak whenever we go to a steakhouse every time that we are there.

I love sweet taters. Frozen fries, Baked, Mashed with chopped walnuts and a dash of vanilla extract.....any way. Now I must try them from Burger King.
BTW CSPI ranked the sweet potato number one in nutrition of all vegetables. http://www.foodreference.com/html/sweet-pot-nutrition.html

I wish I could acquire a taste for the sweet potatoes. I can eat alittle of them but they have the same consistency as squash and it always makes me gag for some reason.

I love sweet potatoes but haven't tried the fries. I think i had rather have the normal fries w/my burger if i was going to have one. I love fried potatoes i fix at home. I also like homemade fries. I'm not much on outside food. I don 't think it's as good as what i fix, lol & it's also expensive.

True! My daughter cuts potatoes in wedges, puts oil and herbs and spices on them and bake them in the oven. They are delicious! I love potatoes. I was brought up on meat and potatoes. lol

Totally shouldn't be hating until you tried them! =o
I've had some from TGI Fridays and they taste about the same as regular potato fries, just with a hint of the regular taste of sweet potato. They're absolutely delicious. I haven't tried the ones from Burger King yet, but I'm going to assume that they will taste the same. Hope this helps!
