How can someone in their right mind forget that their children are in the car with them?. I just seen a video this morning about a father who FORGOT that his 2 year old son was in the car when he was SUPPOSEDLY on his way to drop him off at daycare!. But, instead, he went to work and FORGOT his son was in the car. It was 85 degrees outside and the temperature jacked up to 95 in the car!. Thank God for the person who called 911 to report this or the child would be dead right now.

It happens. It's one of the disgusting facts of life. We humans, we do tend to forget things like that.

Now, I can understand maybe forgetting your wallet, cellphone or purse, but your kids?. which I'm sure that this was a regular daily routine of the parent to drop their child off at the daycare. well, nonetheless, the man was arrested actually. Not sure what he got charged with if anything, will research the story more.

Yeah, it's weird. But parents forgetting to pick up their kids from school on time is pretty common.

I read an article a few years ago of a similar case. for a lot of dad's, it is not the routine to drop their child off at day care. In my household, I do the daycare drop off and pick up.
I have never forgotten my kid in the car, but i have forgotten to pick her up from the sitter on a long day. My sitter called about a half hour after I usually pick up my child and I was at home already. I had to turn around and go back to get my kiddo.

I just saw this story online myself and sadly I'm not surprised. People have too much on their mind to even double check the simplest of tasks... sadly in a case like this it could of cost a small child their life. 6 kids have passed on this year already and summer has only officially been here a short time.

I know it is terrible, but it can happen. People are caught up in trying to handle so many things at one time. He probably was tired and not thinking of course. My mom left my sister in the car once before as a baby. She was just tired. She figured it out when she went into the grocery store.

Hello diannet2012 and welcome to myLot :)
I cannot understand how anyone could forget that their child was in the car with them. Nor can I understand when people don't forget, but leave them anyway. Yes, it can be a hassle to get them out, especially if there is more than one, and especially if you don't expect to stay gone long, but I we're talking about the lives of our children!! I don't understand it.
I'm glad that child was rescued.
Peace
