bullying

I have heard a lot about the dangers of bullying, especially incidents where internet bullying led to suicide. One person bullied his college roommate in this manner, which led to his roommate jumping off a bridge. This bully was sentenced to 30 days and later to 20 days after writing an apology letter. I am conflicted as to whether this was a fair punishment, as well as the forces of this event. Some say it was just the straw that broke the camel's back. What are your thoughts on this?

I think people trying to bully is just sick and sad. I do not know why people try to push and run over someone just because they are bigger, etc. I guess that is just the natural order of life, but it does become out of hand.
