I have this experienced that whenever my co-workers is in bad day or bad mood she affects everyone around here making people get irritated and she even get easily irritated to everything making our workplace so uncomfortable. I also experiences it with my self that when I am in bad mood I easily get irritated and that affects those people around. Is it normal or I'll just been sway because I just did saw it with my co-worker and also because it is the environment I've been part of?

Somehow and someways yes.
I used to be jolly, talkative and happy all the time so when I am not in the mood or in bad mood I used to be quiet and try to control and surpass the bad vibes.People will be affected cause there is no talkative and jolly around them.

hi rhod you need to talk to the sullen boy friend and perhaps do it a bit angrily as I sense you take it but you do not like to
retaliate with loud words, tell him he has hurt you and he needs to quit acting like a two year old and control his temper. If he keeps this up walk out as he needs a jolt to bring him to his senses. You tell him you are a person not a piece of garbage so do not treat me this way..

Thanks Hatley I'm so grateful you understand how I feel. Still today we are not in good terms he doesn't talk and just keep walking around the house like I never existed. I think the better way for me to do is to leave the house and go somewhere else he could not find me and maybe he'll realize that I'm almost gone and he will start looking for me then. What do you think?

When the mood is out, it is always best to keep silence.Engaging in heated arguments in those times of mood shifts would add insult to injury only. Better to wait the out of mood situation calm all by itself...until then silence would the best option.

I agree that silence is the best policy. Hey if you need some motivation, try thinking of what others might feel when you let them become the target of your anger. My sister does that sometimes and it hurts me a lot. So when I'm in a bad mood I try to not mistreat others because I know how much it hurts being treated that way.

I agree with you. When I'm in a bad mood it generally will affect other people around me too however I try to think of happy moments to cure my mood.

I keep my distance and bite my tongue instead of saying something I might regret later. All part of growing up...you have to control your temper or deal with the long-term consequences. I make an effort to sleep well and eat well to avoid bad mood days.

Well it's not just about I woke up early and sleep late or I didn't eat well that is why I'm in bad mood. I had a bad rough day and a fight with my partner that he keeps ignoring me like I never existed and we slept the night with out talking then I wake up the other day and go to work still we haven't settle nor talk at all. So, if your in that situation I bet you would feel the same isn't it?

Yeah, this is the main reason why I don't talk to anyone when I'm in a bad mood. I just keep to myself. As much as possible, I would sleep so that I wouldn't have to deal with anyone thus maintaining the 'bad mood' to myself and no one else.
I'm just glad that I know how to keep things to myself so that I wouldn't have to spread the negativity around. Perhaps your co-worker needs to stop spreading the negativity. She should learn to keep things to herself. Ask you employer if the company could have an anger management seminar or proper work ethics seminar on behavior and attitude.
Have a great myLot experience ahead!

When i am having a bad mood, woke up at the wrong side of the bed..
i try my best not to affect the people around me especially at the office as i know it will affect my work performance and i will be the one who will suffer it in the place. SO i try to just swallow it all up and act as if i have no problems at all.

When I am in a bad mood, I always try to control it and I keep my mouth to utter hurtful things..but sometimes, I can't control it and when it happened I just don't speak and my office mates could easily sense that I am in a bad mood. Usually no one dares to talk to me

I try to be all smiley, but I just can't control my face... but I'm not behaving in like a grumpy, "everyone should have a bad mood" way. So, ina regular way, I might do, because when I see someone unhappy, that usually affects me, even though they don't want to... but on purpose, no.

Yes rhod, my mood happens to affect my surrounding people. But when I be in a bad mood, I try my best not to let my mood affect them. Because its my own concern and are never supposed to act like that ill way.

Yes it definitely affect people around us, but usually when I'm in a bad mood, I isolate myself from them because I don't want my bad mood to ignite another bad mood. To feel better it's either I play with children or listen to music.

I used to be like that. I would take out my anger on other people. When I was in a bad mood, I could not be talked to properly. But I learned to manage that because I end up hurting a lot of people. And besides, I think that it would be something that I wouldn't want to be done to me. I don't think it's fair that when someone is angry, they are also angry towards other people. Especially if that other people includes me, and most especially if I didn't do anything to cause that person to get angry. Someone should talk to your co-worker when she has cooled off that it's not fair to other people because she also wouldn't like it if it happened to her.

Hi!
When am in a bad mood, I try to control myself. I try not to make others irritated because am not in a good mood, I tell myself that if something bad has happened with me (due to reasons beyond their control) why should they be punished?
I try to remain cool and calm or take a walk for few minutes before I return to my desk, in case am feeling bad.

When I am in a bad mood I try my hardest to stay away from others as much as possible because I like to uplift people not bring them down. If I feel that I will bring someone down I just stay to myself. I don't want to be that kind of person.
I really don't get in a bad mood often though either. I sometimes am too emotional so I will cry a little bit. I cry more than get mad most definitely.

Yes, I have noticed that it does affect people around me when I am in a bad mood. I do not like to be around others that are either. It does rub off.
