I am in the reading mood again! I ordered a book recently via amazon and didn't have to pay anything for it! I can't wait for it to come, it should be here soon. I've read a few books on my tablet but I can't download anymore books to it. I need to just redo my whole tablet back to factory default but not really in the mood to do that and lose the books I already have on there, plus everything else I have on there.
As soon as it gets here I'll probably open it and read it until it's finished. When I'm in the reading mood I can finish a book in one or two days depending.

Can't you put the book that are on the tablet onto a thumb drive, redo back to factory and then put the books back on it? There must be some way to save them. I have never had one so I don't know. Just the old fashioned books. I can read a book in afew days too unless it is really good and i slow down to savor it.

I have an sd card in there from my old android phone I could probably put the books on but not sure they'd all fit. One of them is Sherlock holmes, i could probably delete him since I have a hard copy of that book.
It's not just the books though but other things like games that I've loaded on there.

Well it might be worth it to put the info on more than one thumb drive.

Yeah, I understand how you felt but that is why I only buy from sites I can trust. That way I know that I'll get the stuff I want.

Books are more fun anyway, not the most convenient to carry around, but watching your collection of books grow is fun. I used to have a huge collection of books myself that I started in the 6th grade, but I was force to give them away because with all the moving it is just so hard to pack and carry them all. What book did you order?

Hi Somecowgirl, how did you manage to get a book free of charge
I am always in the reading mood.
In fact, I read for at least an hour every day.
Sometimes when I borrow an interesting thriller, I can even read three hours a day just to finish the book.
Fortunately the nearest library is just a twenty minutes walk.
I can walk there, and borrow six books at a go.
Sometimes when library is having a double borrowing privilege due to school holidays, I can borrow as many books as I can carry.
It is a good physical and mental exercise for me.
I do not have budget for buying books at all.
If only I can get free books, I would be very happy to do so.

How did you manage to order a book without paying for it? A free gift or something? I wish I could have a Kindle so I can just load in as many books as I want. The classics are free to download. I like classics!

I use amazon mturk to do tasks and use those earnings to get what I want on amazon. I'm saving my earnings now to go towards a laptop, but that's how I got it for free. Many great books are free on the kindle, and I've thought of getting one myself.

i don't have a tablet but i know that our library allows you to borrow e books for a 3 week period and then they vanish. maybe that is something you can look into when you get it fixed. i do visit the library at least once a week. i order books online and then pick them up at the library that's closest to me. its very convenient and this way i can books on the subjects that i am interested in.

Can't you back up your files in the tablet to a computer or external hard drive?
Anyway, I wish I could get back to this hobby again. I miss reading but I could barely have enough time for it and I just feel like there's too many other things I need to do or want to do. In fact, I have been planning to clean my room for days now but my indolence gets in the way. I hate it when I start a day with a good plan and end up regretting not being able to do anything.
