What part of personal freedom does justice Roberts not understand? This had to be the biggest cop out and downright betrayal of conservative values ever! I believe impeachment might be bandied about in the next few months, especially if Romney wins in. Nov. your thoughts? Gripes?

Article I section 7 of the Constitution All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the HOUSE of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments as on other bills. The president repeatedly told us it was not a tax. Then sent the solicitor general to argue it was. Justice Roberts just gave all the fence sitters a reason to vote for Romney, in fact, without coming right out and telling us who to vote for, he made it plain that we should vote the idiot out of office.

Hey Debra, thanks for commenting. This is one of the most arrogant presidents I've ever seen. All presidents have a small air of arrogance, comes with the territory, but this president really takes the cake. He honestly hasn't got a clue or he is much more devious than any of us give him credit for.

with the amount of people who are against this 'tax' I'm sure Obama has just assured Romney will win in November. If they don't steal the vote at the polls that is. Romney raised, in the 24 hours after the decision, he raised over $4M from internet donors. Obama has not yet commented or disclosed how much he raised yesterday. Those that were on the fence have now been given good reason to hop off on the Republican side. Tea Party organizations are in full gear to ensure we win the Senate and clinch the House as well. The Affordable Healthcare TAX will be repealed.

The Individual Mandate was written in a way that it gave the job of collection to the IRS and made if fall under the tax code as much as I hate to admit it they did a good job now the Federal Government was hoping that the Supreme Court would of said that it fell under the Commerce Clause but it is very clear that the majority felt that the Federal Government has no power or right to compel you by sending you to jail for not purchasing something. I mean even the ObamaCare Tax can't send you to prison it can however send you to court for the IRS to sue for the money which could then result in them taking money out of your paycheck and other things that courts have the power to place on you so that you pay the tax that is being levied against you.

So, is it worth it. Considering the cost of this behemoth and the fact that the majority do not want it and cannot afford to be taxed any more than they already are? And there is that PROMISE he made to the middle class, that no taxes would fall their way.

With such a split decision it was a very illogical decision on his part. He in effect rewrote the law rather than deciding if it was constitutional or not as it was. I don't think this is a good practice or precedent for the Supreme Court to do. I seriously doubt if impeachment will even be brought up by any one in government much less be a possibility. There are so many other parts of Obamacare that do raise taxes as it is written(most on the middle class), that it should be repealed by Congress just on that basis. Not to mention the enormous debt the it will burden the U.S. with.

Thanks for your input. All we can hope for is a new president in Nov and a republican majority in both houses.

Impeachment is extreme. They are definitely going to call for Jutice Roberts to step down from the bench. As for betraying his values, oh most definitely. Ran right against everything that caused Bush to appoint him in the first place.

Appreciate the comment Steve. Yeah he will have a hard time portraying himself as a conservative in the foreseeable future.
