Our third Great Granddaughter is on her way, her due day was yesterday and she was a no show, but everything is as it should be and she is a first baby for this new Mom, our Granddaughter, Krysta. Have you ever waited for a new baby? If so how did you spend the time. I remember when it was my own children I ws waiting for I was always so busy just before that eventful day. New baby meant many visitors to our home and I always wanted everything to be ready for them, so that all their attention would be focused on the new arrival. But now since I am no longer involved
all I can do is wait.

How exciting that you get to be a great-grandmother again. For me, it has always been my waiting for my own two children and then also waiting for the birth of my three nieces. It has always been something that is really exciting for me because I love babies and there is something that is even more special about it when it is a baby that is related to you.
This time last year, I was anxiously awaiting the birth of my third niece. It is really hard to believe that she is going to be a year old in less than three weeks.

It is such an exciting time and waiting is the worst if there is nothing more to do. I tossed and turned on the worst furniture in the history of furniture as we know it. Then I paced a lot. I never thought she was going to have that baby.

I was very impatient waiting for my new grandson. Mom and Dad live a long ways from here, and I needed to plan my time off so that I could work, and still spend the maximum time being helpful to the family. He did not come when the doctor said, he did not come when the sonogram person said. Labor started on the date my daughter said and the date the doctor first picked. He came early the next morning. I tried to help clean, etc. before hand, and she had had company for a week or so before I came, in laws wanting to be on hand if needed. Babies tend to come in their own sweet time.

Hi savypat, Congratulations to you and your husband on being great grandparents once again! Yes, I remember quite well what it was like waiting for a new arrival, and there is nothing that can compare to having a new baby in the home. Grandchildren and great grandchildren are not usually in your house of course but it's still a wonderful feeling. I have just two granddaughters who are still young and there probably won't be anymore grandchildren. My wife has grandchildren from her first marriage, some grown up and other still very young. They all treat me very well and the young children are like my own grandchildren and treat me as they would a grandfather, it's a great feel. Blessings.

Congrats on the G-Granddaughter to be! I've never had to wait for anyone else to have a child yet. I only know what it feels like to wait for my children to be born. 2 of the 3snugglebunnies were late and that really kept a person on pins and needles when it would finally be time to deliver.

I'm sure you are very anxious to hold that little girl in your arms. The waiting is the worst but so worth the reward.
