Yesterday, I was watching the talk and they had Cedric the Entertainer on there. Hes pretty funny dont you think.? He talked about in church when he was a kid and the collection plate came by, he'd hit the bottom of it and pretend like he put the change in, then go buy ice cream later made me remember, my mom would make me go to sunday school but didnt go herself. she would give me change to put in the plate. I always did for 2 reasons, Id go cause I liked sunday school. being told someone loved me (Jesus) and also I put the money in cause i was sure God was watching me. LOL! Did you ever feel God or some higher power was watching you and you better be good?

I think when I was real young I may have felt that way. My grandmother raised me/took care of me while my mom worked and she was a strict Babtist. I couldn't play cards, dance or do most anything like that. So it was actually the fear of her watching me! he he

lol i feel like God is watching me every day, it keeps me on the striaghter path in life.. i too use to go to sunday school and my mom would not go, then her excuse was she did not have anything to wear.. that was the times that when you went to church you had to wear a dress and dress up.. im so glad that rule does not apply today or to the churches i go to anyhow.. we wear what we want.. and i hav enot had a dress on in mayn many years i only own 2 skirts and no dress and i save them for a wedding or otehr event that i still have to dress up.. i remember when we had to wear dresses to church and i could not wait to get home and change

hi dear bunnybon thats great you went to church and Sunday school. My grandma also took me to church from a very early age, as soon as I was able to sit still during a Holy Mass. also always was given the money to put in the collection plate and loved it. Even in my most rebellious years I still liked going to church, rebellion was more to not wearing Sunday Best but ordinary Jeans on Sundays as I still do today.
I believe that God watches over us. Hope its not just to write down our mistakes into a big black book for each and then judging us when our life here is over and we wait for what happens next.

i also do not believe God cares what we wear as long as its fairly decent to many people believe you have to wear your best clothes. its obviously for them to show off and their own benefit

thats my thoughts too dear bunnybon. Today was a super nice day for me not only cause I have the day off work but also cause its Friday. That means I got to get to the Workday Mass 7 pm and I got home refreshed and happy about half an hour in Gods LivingRoom.

Yes, no doubt about it. Its been a long time since I was in Church but never a day that I didnt think about our Heavenly Father and the blessings He bestowed upon me. It might have been awhile since Ive been in Church but He is always in my heart and I have a strong faith and It doesn't matter whether you go to Church or not.

Yes, I have been going regularly to church every sunday morning. I think that He is watching for us from the heaven and whenever we are in some troubles, He will always try to pull us out. And I will actually take those troubles as some training from Him in order to make me tougher and a better person.

I know that God is watching me. That does not mean he is waiting to get me if I am bad. I am probably bad every day. He watches because he cares. However our conscience, or knowing that God is watching, can be a good motivator to do the right thing. It is a child like way of being motivated, but it is a beginning, as we grow toward doing things because we know they are right, not because we are scared of doing what is wrong.

thats really what i was asking except i didnt ask it right. i should have asked if you felt that way as a child. no i realise as an adult that i feel if i do my best hes not going to jump out at me for doing something wrong. i was just funny like that as a child.

This is a wee bit different to what you mean but here goes anyway.
I was raised a Catholic and one day I was in church and an older kid was saying how the eyes of the statue were following her. She was moving around and reckoned wherever she moved, the statues eyes followed. It was happening with ALL the statues. heheheh.
She must have got an audience because the next thing I know (next day) she's there again with more kids in her class and one of the nuns and she is pointing out the statues "eyes following her" Several other kids are agreeing and the first girl starts to cry hysterically.
The nun put a stop to it all and that was that.
Any good painting of a face the eyes will seem to follow you. It can be spooky sometimes. Woooo-oooo-ooo

Yes..and it made me be good more than I was bad. My family was very religious and we were at church when the doors opened. I have not been as forceful with my children. I wanted them to want to go if they went. They did and I didn't often attend. I have issues with the organized part of it.

I live my entire life as if God was watching me because of the fact I was brought up to believe that God is watching us in everything that I do. With that said, I also feel like I have to admit that I don't go to church nearly as often as I ought to. Then again, I don't know that this is really a bad thing because I live my entire life as a Christian person and I think that there are many people that religiously attend services but don't live all of the other aspects of their life as a Christian person.
