Have a friend or acquaintance complaining of an illness every now & then?

Ever experienced one of those days when wherever you look -- home, social networking sites, office, etc. -- you hear of family members, colleagues, and friends complaining about feeling unwell? I have an obese friend who has a recurring lower back pain. A former schoolmate who actively posts in a leading social networking site recently posted she has an achy back, too, and admits to not engaging in regular exercise. same with my chubby friend - he's a couch potato who brings his car wherever he goes & doesn't exercise, too. In the office, many colleagues & higher-ups who are bring themselves to & from work using their cars and who look far from physically fit, seem to be getting sick every other week. I think being physically fit is closely tied up to having a regular physical activity like brisk walking for 30 minutes each day, apart from eating healthier breakfasts, lunches, dinner & snacks. Have you tried revamping your diet to include healthier eats and felt a whole lot better? Or doing regular exercise & feeling revitalized & in tiptop shape? Do share.

Sadly I'm one of them these days, I have the flu and I have complained (well once) on the social networking site about it. I think it's not about the health thing all the time, I think I eat a pretty healthy diet, I drink milk, I take vitamins and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. However, there really are just times when sickness hits you and you cannot do anything about it but to recuperate. Often times, the only thing you could do is talk about it on social networking sites. hehehehehe.. But don't really post that often though, neither do I post things that are inappropriate. Just posted the 'mask' now for protecting other people against my colds and flu. hehehe.. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I am a Chinese, and the diet of our country is health, which get me enough vegetables and fruits with lower fat. But it is not enough to keep fit without some excersize. On weekends, most of my time is spent on talking on social networking site and chatting with my firend on phone. I should make some difference. In near future, every week at least five four's hiking is a must.

My MIL actually likes going on about her illnesses. I swear she takes far too many tablets for them all as I reckon they stop working after a while..so if she cut down she might feel better, how radical is that lol. Unfortunately, due to not working I am not exercising as much as I would like. Going out invariably involves spending money I haven't got so I avoid that. The one thing that does keep me relatively fit though is going up and down the stairs - either to the loo or to pick up yet more washing for the washing machine. It's not much but I reckon I'd be a lot bigger if we lived in a bungalow!

My daughter's best friend is always into something. She has an upset stomach and doesn't feel good or she has her period and she's as sick as my daughter gets. And I can't escape these facts because my daughter is so hapy when she gets off the phone with her or gets done texting her that she has to share everything. I understand this because they've known each other forever. They are 21 and have known each other for 19 yrs. This is the first time they've been this far apart

Yes, I do have a couple of friends who always have health issues and indeed the very reason is their unhealthy eating lifestyle. They don't care about having a daily workout, they keep eating junks, fatty and all unhealthy food they could ever afford, they keep engaging in unhealthy vices and activities and the end result is having different health issues that make them unhappy all the time. Well, I've run out of advice and all I could do is to leave them to their own desires till they realize what wrong have they done on their own bodies.

Someone always complaining of ill health is actually a hypochondriac..He would talk about health problems only in the company of others. Such men are often found to be real menaces.

yeah I can totally understand what you are trying to say here. It has happened to me and I think it happens to almost everybody. There are always some people getting sick all the time. They complain to you about that all the time and sometimes it gets really annoying. But you have to bear it as they are your friends and family. You cant get away. So be patient and cool about that.

I never complain an illness cause I work out every morning. I jog and bike or sometimes just walk around the park. I feel sorry for those who never exercise.

Hi! yes i believe that healthy diet and exercise is vital to keeping oneself in tiptop shape. I am in my early fifties and sometimes i have backaches but i understand its because i am at my menopausal stage. Luckily, i don't feel rheumatic pains or joint pains yet. Its what i dread the most. I can't imagine myself walking hardly because of joint pains and having inflamed knees. I do brisk walking everyday and climbing up stairs too. Regrading my diet, i avoid fatty foods but i love eating vegetables and fruits and fish too.

As humain beings we all have now and then some ackes and pains, you can't always avoid it, I know it doesn't always helps to constantly talk about it,often it makes it worse, but it helps to say it at least once to let other know what you've got.

Hi friend, sad to hear about your friend's health issues. We must take care of our health and do proper exercise and take proper diet to keep it in a good manner. Being couch potato is easy, but it will give harms to us in the future. We must do our work properly in the young age and give more physical work and exercise to our body to avoid health issues in the future

People who do no take care of themselves are more vulnerable to injury and illness. They have a weaker immune system and are less physically coordinated than those who eat well and exercise.

Yes, we are now trying for a healthier options when eating and we really try not to eat unhealthy food or have junk foods. just recently we have also bought us brown rice to replace or to substitute the white rice we are used to... it is healthier only much more expensive but we think it is better and is already accustomed to the taste. To answer the discussion, well yes i have two office mates who are on the heavy side. one even is younger than i am but already is suffering from gout attacks. he is now a bit conscious about what he eats but believe me, he does eat a lot, more than anyone could handle... i believe that people does have to be conscious of what they eat, unless they are not wary of what they might be suffering from... well with that they can just go on and do whatever they like but they just had to stop complaining altogether.

It happens during certain seasons here like for example now , with the onset of monsoons here in India everyone seems to be falling sick.It is either cough and cold, fever or other ailments. It may be due to the reason you have quoted since one cannot go out much since the rains are very heavy and your out door activities and exercise routine gets considerably reduced ..all the best

Body, Mind, Environment and lifestyle are vital. - MAde sure body is well rested and free from factors that cause sickness.
I guess years of bad habit in lifestyle like overeating obese, or not eating regurally or mental physical stress can made a person sick and recovery is slow and painfully and tiring.Sometime the environment where the person stay or work also play vital roles in long term healthy.Consist expose to toxin or bad house environment will cause body to fall sick too.

I see, there are people complaining about their health issues but are not willing to revamp their life style, not doing anything or let me say putting much effort to improve their health conditions. I agree that we must exercise and make ourselves physically fit, eat healthy foods if we don't want to complain everyday about what we feel. I take care of my health by having an active life style and I try to eat healthy foods. It's not refreshing to hear complains about sickness, I want to talk about happy things that could make me laugh not an added pain in my life. So being healthy and not complaining about my health is my way of showing considerations to others unless they ask me and eager to know any health problems I have.

In my opinion, complaining is the biggist desease in the society.person can complained everything they had.such as children, lover.however, the thing they should do is not to complain it but to solve it.
