I live around Memphis, Tn, and I hope to go downtown to look at fireworks. We might go and grill out on the lake with family. It's about appreciating our freedom being with the one you love while celebrating. I have just chilled at home too. What are your plans?

Plans for the fourth is first to pick my mother up at the airport on the 3rd then spend the 4th with family and enjoy the day. take some time to reflect on our lives and to see our younger generation seeing they are not children for long and time spent with them is precious.
Eat lots of food and just enjoy the day.

I'm going to the river with my good friend Jacob and our families. We've been doing this for a few years now, we pop fireworks, cook on an open fire, and swim. It's been a pretty good tradition.

My plans for the fourth of July are simple. I am going to stay home, enjoy myself, hope for a quiet day/week without hearing fireworks, and cook a great meal for my family. If there are any good special programs on television to celebrate the occasion, I may catch one. There may be even some time given to mylot. I will also pray that no one gets hurt. I hope for a safe holiday for everyone.

We'll probably cook outside or something. My family doesn't get big with the flags and fireworks, but we love Independence Day.
Who knows? We might do something different.
I know it sounds incredibly boring, but that's just what my family is like.

We are having people over for a BBQ. We may head into town for fireworks. We got spoiled because last year you could see the city fireworks from our front lawn.

The 4th July 2012 will be my 40th birthday. I so wish I was in the USA and so I could have some fireworks. I live in England. I am planning to catch a train to Bath and there I will treat myself to a relaxing spa. If I have enough time I will go out on the explorer bus. I wish to visit the beautiful botanical gardens. I hope that you will have a wonderful 4th July celebration.

Normally our little town has a 4th of July parade and fireworks. If the weather continues to be in the 100's (as it has been for the last 3 days) we will probably buy some sparklers and stay at home where we can go inside out of the heat. Cooking out is also high on the list.

I'll be in Tennessee for the whole month of July. Not sure what we'll be doing. Probably the traditional cooking outdoors and fireworks display. At home my mom would fix red potatoes, cabbages and corned beef . She also makes this for every St. Patrick's day. Then we'd set off bottle rockets and watch the colorful array of fireworks from our surrounding neighbors.

we started celebrating last night. at the bridge here in Llano,TX there is a very nice bridge where on both sides there is a view of the waterfall and the river...well last night we all rode our bikes to the bridge and saw the fireworks we got a nice view from there and it was real loud. My 3 yr old kept closing her ears and screaming a little because thats how close we were. all this week friends and 'family' are going to barbeque and we are going to join them. im going to make some good old fashioned food! im planning on dolling our girls up blow up some balloons that have LED lights in them- i got them from walmart 2 months ago and im now going to start to use them!i got them in a package of 5 for 2 dollars. we made some banners for the 4th of july, just somehting fun for the kids. anything makes them laugh!

I will be working, at least early in the morning. I work in a coffee shop in a mall so it will be pretty slow until about the time comes for me to leave for the day. Afterwards I don't really have too many big plans. This has become a holiday in which I celebrate with people close to me and that's about it; I will usually hang out with my family and/or close friends and have a small get together. Fireworks are just not exciting to me anymore, personally. I know a lot of people make treks to go and watch them around their towns or even out of town, but me personally I will just relax for the rest of the day.

Well I was hoping to get three days off from work because normally I have tuesdays and thursdays off, and my place of work is giving us the 4th off but when I checked my schedule it turns out I'm scheduled for every day this week except the 4th of July. I was planning to spend those three days with my girlfriend and get a nice little vacation but no big deal, I'm still going to spend tuesday night and all of wednesday with her.
We'll be spending our time together out at the yoga ranch so we'll probably eat some good food, hang out with friends there and I will probably try and pick up some fireworks that we can enjoy at night. I might also spend the night with her on Wednesday night but I gotta wake up and work the next morning. Anyways I'm sure I will have fun this 4th of July. I hope that you enjoy yours as well.

On the 4th of July I will be working. I seem to work on every 4th of July! I work at a college in food service. We are busy during the summer. Especially the week of the 4th! We have a bible study/religion group who comes to the college every year. Over 500 this year! So this is what my 4th of July will look like!

Independence Day may be coming in the middle of the week this year but that does not stop me from celebrating it just the same. Our family will join many in watching the4th of July parade in our small town. trhen We will have a family barbecue at my mothers and go watch fireworks too. Big and little kids enjoy the day. We have to remember how and why this day is a celebration. Freedom should never be taken for granted and it cost many something so dear. It is a day of celebration in so many ways and our patriotism should show in any way that we can.
