Hi valerious! It is just okay if you have done some overtime job for as long as they paid you for that. But the problem is if you are obliged to do the work without being compensated in return.

Ah well, so sorry. I thought it doesn't happen all the time. Yes we also have time for our family. Perhaps you can call the attention of the management by writing them formally. In our country, we have our rights and privileges as a worker. It's good if you would know them. Provided that your employer is a registered one.

At the last job I worked we had 'maditory overtime'. Nice for the pocket book but not so nice for your stress load. Its the pits. You don't know how long the overtime will continue and you are so busy. It just isn't fair. We used to have unions that wouldn't let us do this but now most states are right to work so we have no options. Ugh!

ah yes, when you are working for a company or someone it is almost always going to happen for at least once or so that you are with the work. Sometimes work requires us to render overtime in order for us to finish what we are set to provide for a meeting, as a documentation, or even as a requirement for other departments that are waiting for us. I think when it is required of us, well we must be obliged to comply ourselves. After all, work is work.. and it gives us food, and gives us what we need... We ought to give our best in our work and in what we do... even if it requires us more time

Hi there,
I sometimes love to work overtime because it only means more money on payday. But to work in excess hours almost everyday is very tiring. I have tried it before and it was very exhausting. I have worked more than 12 hours in a day due to deadlines and bulk transaction and it happened to me a number of times. But once I got my payslip at the end of the month I enlightened and would want to work hard more.

Spending over time on our works is really boring and I don’t love to do it but it becomes a lovable one when I am paid a bit extra. Anyway I have to do my extra time even the company is not paying for me.

Hi there Valerious,
The only thing that I like about overtime is the extra cash that we can get from it. Though, it's tiresome but still it manages to help us up with our daily expenses. I don't have that much overtime work lately but I do have scheduled overtimes in the coming days due to the vacation leave of my colleagues.
I hope I won't have a busy time on those dates.
Hoping you the best. Happy Mylotting!

Dear friend,
It really better if that overtime is paid well too. At some places even if the over time is done no extra benefit is provided. One year back there was a strike in our organisation on this, but no result was found. Even now staff do overtime without any remuneration. The management has included over time in the bonus. At times it would be mess if the work is too time bound and bit tough to complete.

I hope that soon things will calm down for you. It can be really stressful when we have so much to get done. I have often felt overwhelmed. But knowing that soon it will end or the work will be done helps a great deal.

We don't have work during Saturday but there are times that I have to sue to some deliveries during Fridays that are needed to be done and transfer to respective branches that we have. Or sometimes if there are reports and deadlines that need to be submitted on Monday. Sometimes better to work overtime on Saturdays cause there are no much disturbances lile phone calls or boss.

I think that working overtime might be useful if you need the money and if it is paid well. When I have opportunity to work overtime I usually happy to do it. However, I won't agree to do it every day. You cant let your employer take advantage of your industry and make you work like a slave.
