Shape of the land on which you house stand, and where your house faces will influence your life. this if what fengshui is all about if I am not mistaken. the best shape of the land is rectangular, the one which is in irregular shape will only cause you to be misfortune. It is also said that the front part of the land shoulb be smaller than the back part. I still doubt this but there has been a lot of evidence that people who occupied a house on irregular shape had bad luck--his or her career got stuck, and they had bee deeply rooted in debt.

oh you are probably talking then about of feng shui and who certain things or directions affect our lives and the blessings of it. like how to position your sleep, your things at home for a steady flow of positive chi.. and so on. i guess it has something to do with the shape of the land as my mom has told me of too... there had been a lot of cases as such that are called very unlucky land and everyone who was there or has lived in there will not prosper or will suffer a great deal...

if we follow feng shui and live half of what it tells us to do, actually it is all about the balance of things, the chi - the good and the bad things combined and the balance of all elements. it is actually not that hard so to speak. there is always kind of lucky places if we know how to enhance them.

That is what I want to know about actually. To consult a fengshui master costs a lot of money too. You know my land is in irregular shape. The back part is bigger than the front. Based on the book I read, I have tried to make some changes just to see if there will be an improvement. I've seen no improvement. The bad element in the house, according to fengshui, will also influence your effort. What do you say?

If we follow feng shui, it will be difficult to find a suitable block of land for a house.

This is superstition. So think about this. What happens when your neighbor owns inches from THEIR house to a part of YOUR land. Does THAT affect the shape of YOUR land?
Say the rectangle can only be made with the part that is not on your deed, the rectangle can be made only with the part that belongs to them? So what you have is a misshapen triangle ha ha. See how silly that is?
How about if you have a small front part of land and you have been taking care of the land next door for twenty years and then it becomes your by eminent domain ? You have just been given a huge parcel of land, now THAT is great luck. But it makes your front yard LARGER. So is that unlucky or lucky?
How about if your house faces east which it says is lucky yet the sun bleaches your siding to where it's now ruined and has to be replaced. See how silly?

I am of the same opinion as you are. My land at the back is larger than the front but I am still not rich. My account was deleted at another site. I think yes that's superstitious.

Yeah, it is silly. I bought a book on it once and quickly dismissed nearly everything in it. Like one part. It tells you not to put books in your bedroom because they make evil lines or send you daggers or some nonsense. I don't have books because it looks cluttered, I keep them in a closet and just keep the one I'm reading next to me. No feng involved ha ha. I do believe colors affect us though and water relaxes us that's about the only part of it I believe. A couple other things make sense, not all of it is bunk I guess.
