Love bird problem

I have had my love bird tricksie for over a year. She is what I would have called a normal bird up until 2 weeks ago. Now all she wants to do is bite me. She goes completly crazy on me when I try to take her out of her cage. Tricksie use to love getting out of her cage to be played with and never use to bite. Does anyone have any idea on what might be the problem?

Well you know what they say: Love hurts! I guess she's evident of that.
Seriously though, it sounds like your bird is in pain. Usually animals that are in pain, would bite you when touched.
Perhaps she's ill. If there is such a thing as a love bird doctor, you might want to take her there to have cured.
Unless it's a love season thing. She might be in heat and looking for love, but not finding it. When you touch her, you're not really what she's looking for right now so she bites you away.

That is a good point made. I guess I will be looking up our local vet. I really hope it is just love season... If so I better go and get her a mate.
