Are they Enough?

Is a digital camera all you really need? They can record video, take pictures, send emails, everything. Do you need a camcorder? What if you wanted to film a low budget movie? Would this be enough to get all the shots you need? Will the quality be good enough? What do you think about this guys and gals?

Well..to film a low budget movie...a digital camera will definitely be insufficient! Firstly...the quality is really really bad , secondly the sound quality will end up really bad and ther are a whole lot of other reasons not to use a digital camera to film. Digital camera are used to make lousy quality HOME movies or to capture unexpected things like a dog flying. If u want to film a low budget film, you will absolutely need a camcorder.

Im gonna have to go 50/50 on this one. You both have a point. Digital cameras are making quite the impression. They are so advanced and the quality only gets better and better as the years go by. Lets be honest tho, a digital camera is good but even for a low budget film I would have to say a camcorder would be more realistic. The way I see it is the digital camera is some what a competition for the camcorder. With that being said, the makers and designers of the camcordgers are always advancing their technology to stay one step ahead of the digital camera. Lets face it, if the digital camera could produce the same or better quality than a camcorder, then the camcorder would become a thing of the past.

It depends on the individual and what he or she wants. If it is a passion I will say it can be enough but if it is a career, digital camera will not be a enough, irrespective of its multiple purpose, a camcorder and other gadgets are needed to do a lot. What of the fine-tuning of the picture and give the best outlook?

I got a friend who is making low budget movies using a canon digital camera. The quality obviously is not that great but it is good enough for him to make his movies. Although using just a digital camera, you will need a lot of time editing clips and you have to be good at video editing programs. It take twice as much time compared to having the right technology for the purpose.
