Breaking Bad will be starting its new season July 15. I have really gotten addicted to it. It is the story of a science teacher who learns he has lung cancer and begins making meth to make money for his familie's future. He goes from a Mr. CHips type to a Scarface type of person. Do you watch it? Did you see the Mr. Chips movie so you know what they mean? Did you see the season finale last time? And Mr. Fings half a head? Ugh!

I am alittle saddened when season finales come along. And now days it seems to take forever for a very few episodes to be filmed. I used to really dislike re-runs but now days I like them more. I like the fact that if you miss the episode on cable it usually is shown again in a couple of hours. They even show the entire run of episodes at some time so you can catch up on a show if you have missed some. I like that aspect of cable.

You mean Gus Fring.
Despite this show being one of AMC's biggest hits, they we trying to cut down on the number of shows for the last season to say money. When the producers threatened to go to another network like FX, AMC caved in an actually ordered more shows than normal. There are 16 more shows to go and then the show is supposed to end. There will be 8 shows on this year and the last 8 will run next year. It's hard to imagine how they can top last years shows.

I certainly hope that that doesn't happen. This show is a big hit. How can they end it in 16 episodes? Ugh!

There's a little bit of rumbling that the series might run beyond season 5. Supposedly 'there's too much story' to stop. Continuation might be a movie though and not a series of new shows. (Who knows. I heard that last year was supposed to be the last for Supernatural and that show has been renewed.)
Reruns of the show have already started. I saw a bit of one late last night.

Thanks for the information on this, burrito88. I was thinking just last week about getting a web streamer that has a DVR.

Oh, I am also addicted to Breaking Bad!! I have it on my calendar so I don't forget to watch it! So sad it's the last season though. My hubby and I have been fans of the series a long long time. In fact, this week and next week we are renting some DVD episodes to watch. I know they showing episodes now but they are on at 2AM - 5AM and I just can't stay up for them. I don't have a DVR but I do have a DVD recorder, but AMC has the show copyright protected and so my recorder won't let me record it. =( WAAAAAA!!! So Hastings has the DVD's to rent for $.49.
I can't wait!!! =)

I have been staying up for the rerun of th edepisodes and it is really messing me up. I just happened to be up one morning and that started it all. I hope some fans write or email the show is kept on. I have Netflix and could get the episodes too but I will just watch them. Enjoy!

I tried it once last weekend. I set my alarm at 2AM and boy, was that awful! I could barely keep my eyes open. LOL! I kept slipping off to sleep during the commercials then wake up in the middle of the scene. After an hour of fighting it, I gave up and went to Hastings Video and Books and rented Season 3 to watch. And that's what I am doing this evening at a decent time. =) I will gladly pay the 49 cents for the convenience.
Do you happen to know if AMC is going to do a 4th season marathon before they begin the new season?

Hi Celticeagle,
I've never heard of this series. It sounds like it is right up my alley though. Are you in the US? Is this a US show? I've just never heard of it. What network is it on?

Yes, I am in the US. It is on AMC. Do you have cable? You can probably get the episodes from Netflix or a provider like that if you don't have cable. Its a good show.

There is a lot of shows I haven't seen on cable yet, thats cause I am either on here or the TV is already occupied. But it sounds like this show is just my style. I wonder if I could find it on the DSL listings I have. I'm gonna go look now. Thanks for the heads up about it.

I am sure you can rent the episodes from places like netflix. This is the 5th season so you can get them up to the 4th season.

Hello celticeagle
I watched a few episodes of Breaking Bad toward the end of its first season, and a bit in the second season, but I haven't watched any more than that. I have recently subscribed to Netflix and I have been toying with the idea of watching Breaking Bad from the very beginning. I just worry that I may really enjoy it and then I'd have to wait for the new episodes.
Peace

Yes, Netflix is a great option for you! They have been showing the re-runs also. I started watching Dexter episodes on Netflix and watched the episodes up to last year. Now the new season doesn't even come on until October and then who knows when they will be out on DVD. Ugh!

I think Netflix only has the first few seasons of Breaking Bad. The others might be available on Amazon but would cost $1.99 per show. What out for when the new shows are supposed to run and hopefully you have a DVR. I think they are going to rerun all the old shows to set up the new one's. This coming season will be the last of the show.

Didn't know the new season will start so soon. Great, I'll finally have something to watch again. It's pretty impressive that Breaking Bad kept good quality with every season so I expect this one will be good too. No, I haven't seen Mr. Chops movie

Mr. Chips was a old vintage movie of the 30's or 30's. I think they made a remake of it but not sure. It is the story of a school teacher who gives his life to teaching. He does get married but they are unable to have children and the students become like their own. It is a real feel good movie.
Yes, Breaking Bad will start July 15th. They have been showing the re-run in order on there late at night. I can hardly wait to find out what happens after Gus is gone now.

The 'Mr. Chips' movie is a vintage movie. That is 30's or 40's. No, not at all similar to Breaking Bad. I miss Mike. Gus had been doing it for awhie but he had people helping him. Wasn't just him.

I have never heard of this show "Breaking Bad". It does sound interesting. Never seen the "Mr.Chips" movies either. Not sure I would get into that TV show or not.

You might not. It is pretty over the edge and different. Mr. Chips was an old movie about a school teacher and how he devoted his life to teaching.
